    Morning

new job is going great, lots to do, initially have 3 weeks to report findings back and then Head of Finance will go to Board for approval for the whole project. As they have already approved in principle that shouldn't be a problem.

Tuesday night I found a noodle bar and ate in there, not quite a proper restaurant, but better than macd's, but I wanted to get back to watch Kirsty. She's still doing the same thing, her idea of cheap and mine aren't quite the same thing; but I suppose everything is relative when your father is title and you used to work in Christies.

Got home OK last night, and had to go straight back out again as mum was going to visit auntie in hospital and sister had not offered. It would have taken mum 2 hours, 2 trains and a taxi. The sister has been ill for a while and ignoring it as she's over 80. Family have now been told she has lung cancer and there is nothing that can be done, so its about making her comfortable.

Will catch up on diaries later, off to 'old' job now. Haven't started to lose track yet, but probably will at some point.

    Have a good day all.

    Sounds good.

You and me both :rotfl: her "extras" are the same as my "actual" budget. But she does have some good ideas she's putting forward - broken jewellery remade into posh tags, the salt dough thing, even the HM stockings.

I'm so sorry to hear this.... for you, and your mum, and your auntie.

There's only so much time any of us has in the day.... take care of yourself.

Thanks SH, hope you're not too busy.

Mum has just rung, BIL took her to the hospital. He must have felt guilty when he realised I'd driven for 2 hours, and then went straight out again. Mum is one of 13 and this is a sister she was never really close to, but its still not easy for her.

I've been lurking a bit round diaries, but too tired, and also difficult to type when sat on a bed in a hotel room.

Just thought I'd mention too - house was relatively tidy considering ds and his mates had the free run of it for 3 days.

  • Am trying VERY hard not to fall asleep. Fell asleep last night watching HIGNFY, woke up very confused in the middle of newsnight.

I am also seriously going to start keeping a track of what I eat. Last few weeks have tried really hard, but have managed to put on a couple of pounds. So as well as my spending diary, will keep an eating diary too.

looking at bank account, I didn't do too badly considering I've been away. I only spent £20 + the cost of the hotel - and obviously haven't received any pay yet. A few years ago, this would have to have gone on a credit card, this week it went on business account debit card :D

I've also been looking at maps trying to work out where best to meet up tomorrow.

    Hi SH

yes, I can imagine that work is manic at the moment. I guess the deadlines are pretty tight, reading on your diary though its good that you are getting a temp. It at least means they've recognised the issue is one of 'not enough hours in the day'. Hopefully there will be a permanent job at the end of it.

Busy morning ahead, need to think clearly about what to take with me to Shrewsbury next week, in terms of food. Difficult when no fridge etc.

Have put chilli in slow cooker, and bread maker is on. Plans are to get the majority of tidying done, then food shopping, get shoes healed, washing machine already on. so that will be done when its light, see if I can get stuff dried outside. More washing, tidying; then off to meet DT.

Then back, take mum to the hospital, and eat. And stop.....:)

Having started tidying, have realised that DS didn't make as good a job of tidying as I first thought. At least I could just walk in, but now have realised that there is lots of bits of paper on the floor that he didn't pick up. And he brought his Xbox downstairs so there is loads of wires all over the place which I just ignored. Normally would take all these back upstairs, but not much point as he'll only bring them back again. So have found a wicker box to chuck it all in.

Sniffles seem to have gone a bit, wonder if I'm just allergic to work?

Tomorrow I am doing ....nothing at all. Plan on chilling on the settee.

Have a good day if you're reading.

    I'm reading!

Glad your sniffles have evaporated.... so you're another one thats allergic to work? We need for several of us to win the big prize on the premium bonds, I think - I could retire quite happily on a million pounds from them :D

Your day today sounds *very* busy - breathing is good, you know, in fact its really underrated :D

Oh but wait! You're meetingDT!!! Well, thats excellent, you'll have a fantastic day. In fact, I'm jealous :rotfl:
