Getting out of my comfort zone

Hi KC,
I haven't got that much energy, but what I really don't want to do is come home after a couple of nights in hotel or B&B or whatever, to a cluttered room. Mainly its a case of sorting out, lots of it has been moved from other rooms and is going to charity shop. Then I can actually see the carpet.
DS mate has just been and fixed the heating, he thinks it will need parts but will get me over this winter. He's been laid off from work so is going to price up all the little jobs that need doing and will do them bit by bit for me.
Sister is coming round in a bit, so we'll have a cuppa and a chat, then a bit of a tidy, and then I'll chill for the rest of the weekend. I think it may involve eating cake, or chocolate.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Morning
this 'extra hour in bed' doesn't really work for me as I wake up automatically at half five and have never needed to set an alarm, so wake up the same time as usual. I'll be really tired tonight though.
No plans for today, still have the sniffles, so going to do a bit of ironing, sort out some paperwork, and just chill out.
Enjoy your day anyone reading.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I hope the sniffles are evicted soon - take it easy today,
I'm the same - don't need to set an alarm, I just wake up automatically at the right time. I do actually set the alarm "just in case", but my body clock generally recognises 5.45am as the time to get up (even when I am on holiday, sadly!!) I would so love to be one of those people that can lay in occasionally!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Yes, thats me too. Holidays, weekends, Christmas, it makes absolutely no difference. When people talk about having a lovely lie in on weekends, I can't do it. Part of me wants to do it, but also I feel like I'm wasting the day once I'm awake, I may as well get up.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Once in a while would be nice though, just to see what I am missing out on!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Laughing at your friend, my ex SIL used to come to my house when DS was young and say things like ' I see you prioritise toys over tidiness' or ' still going for the just burgled look'. She was a stay at home mum, fortunately she didn't need to work, and couldn't see that the few hours I had with my son at the weekend were precious.
Yep, I have similar comments about my house looking "homely"
Whatever. My Mum was a SAHM and has made comments about other people being "Slovenly" (not "overworked/busy") and although she never says it to me, I can sometimes see the horror in her eyes. I'm defo getting a cleaner in the New Year.
I'm another automatic early riser. I'm a lark, so this is when I have my most energy. Once I'm awake, my brain starts racing along, but by about 6pm, I'll be ready for a Siesta0 -
The thing with being a lark is, that your OH and those around you really need to be larks too.
My ex was a nightclub manager, a definite owl, got in at 4 in the morning, watched telly and then went to bed. If he was off, he wanted to go out and party, by half nine I was ready for sleep. On holiday one year everyone thought I was there on my own, our days were so different. Wonder why he's my ex?
DS is the same, he's been on day shift this week and can't handle having to be in work for 7.30 am. He is such a grump in the morning.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Oh, thats telling, isn't it! I'm another lark ... I don't have an exact time to get up, but I'm always glad to *get* up.... I was on ebay this morning, bidding ended at 7.15 for a really cheap dvd set I wanted .... the computer froze with just 1m 35s to go .... this is the reason I'm getting a new one! Tho some of it may be the connection too....
Sorry you've still got the sniffles, gill - I *still* don't feel great, but I think I go round in circles with it a bit - cos I don't feel good, I spend too much time on the computer, which gives me a headache, so I don't feel good, so I spend too much time on the computer .... so today, I'm going to try to be a bit more active, and simply go back to bed if I don't feel that great.
You take care too.

My hubby is an Owl, I wake up and sing "Morning!!!", he grunts, rolls over and won't speak to anyone until he's had a coffee!
It did have it's benefits when babies came along though, he was very good at getting up and warming bottles in the middle of the night, while I did the early shift.
Hope you 2 feel better soon x0
