Have just answered the door to a friend of DS who commented that the house was nice and warm. First thought 'GAS BILL . Second thought ' I didn't know the heating was on - investigation showed that the radiator in the living room is broke. Have bled it, banged the pipe a bit, but still no heat. DS mate reckons the 'rad valve' is shot and he's going to fix it for me, for the price of a chippy meal and a couple of cans. Result:money:

    Job(s) are going well.

Should have started new job this week but as so many people are off for half term am not actually fully on site until Monday. Still doing old job, work on new job is currently trying to draw together a draft project plan, looking at structure plans and scheduling meetings for when I am on site next week. But I know what will happen when I get there; the people I will have been told to contact will turn out to be the managers and I really need to speak to the admin person or whatever who actually does the job.

I'm really enjoying the stuff I'm doing though. It's been a while since I did any business process stuff and it's getting my brain working again.

So this week I am getting a full week's pay from one job and will claim for the hours worked from the new one. Next week it will be the other way round, going to Shrewsbury on Monday, and picking up bits and bobs from the old job, and going in later in the week for a few hours.

Was horrified looking at bank statement as I've spent money like its going out of fashion this week. But it's just that I'd forgotten to move it round accounts and it was all accounted for elsewhere. Phew!

Excellent! I know what you mean about moving money around .... I could be eligible for that 3.2% Santander ISA, but it would be back to doing exactly that, moving money around regularly - and with the way things are still so up in the air for me (e.g. no flat surface available to me - to eat from, to put the computer on, to put papers on to work at) I just can't trust myself, so to speak, so its no go. I'm glad you're doing it tho - and wow, those jobs are really going to keep you on the ball.
