Hiya! I'm on in the morning, and then again at night - I get absolutely shattered in the afternoon most days .... very odd pattern. I was probably Spanish in another life, I should be having siestas :D

Ouch to being taken for granted for the trip to Manchester Airport .... thats not good :( will you have a bit of a go at the Manchester shops as well, while you're there?

:mad:just typed a post and accidentally pressed the 'BACK' button so lost it.

DS has just come home from work and made bacon butties, not something I would normally have, but couldn't resist.

Will go out later shopping, see if junk shop is open to get that chest of drawers I saw. Now need to buy more bacon as he has used up the weeks supply. I'm going to catch up on some tv while doing the ironing.

[Reminder to self - it may seem like a good idea to let Mum take stuff to iron as she loves ironing, but actually the clothes all come back smelling of cigarettes, so it's not worth it]

*Unfortunately* the shops will be shut at the time I'm there, except maybe Trafford Centre but I find it claustrophobic there.

While mum is away I'm going to borrow her laptop as can't do a lot of surveys on this little netbook as have problems with java, also have realised that have had no surveys from Lightspeed for ages and only need 20 points before I can withdraw.

Quite few of my lightspeed notifications ended up in spam filter earlier this year.

Checked spam filter, nothing in Lightspeed, checked lightspeed and there were no surveys waiting for me. Maybe the fact that I didn't do them for a while has stopped them sending them.

    **RANT ALERT***

I am really angry with my Mum at the moment. I have had a totally unnecessary 90 mile round trip to Manchester Airport and back.

Picked her up and took her to the airport, as arranged yesterday. Parked car, and took her into departures to meet her friend and hubby. Friend said “sorry you had to come out of your way to bring her, we did offer, but she had other plans”. Not only that, they were in Liverpool yesterday, so had offered to pick her up, take her for lunch and then take her back with them to friends' son's in Manchester, and the son would take all 3 of them to the airport.

For reasons best known to herself she chose to do it differently, when that would have been a far better solution. Her other plans? I was taking her for some last minute shopping and, as it turned out, to get her Euros.

    ***Rant over.****

Will go and read some diaries to get inspiration and calm down.

Thats really bad. Sounds like words need to be had when she gets back. No wonder you want to rant!

I would be majorly angry too - that is well out of order!

Did you manage to get the chest of drawers in the end?

Hi folks, sorry about the rant but I was soooo angry. Why do parents manage to make you feel so guilty about things? I was a bit annoyed anyway at being taken for granted, but when she had a far better alternative, I suspect that she didn't even think when her friend offered.

No SH, didn't get the chest, because the girl who was in the shop had been told not to sell it, but couldn't read the rest of the note. Will ring today.

DS has finally put his 'keep' into my account, but its not the amount I expected, so words will have to be had.
Taking training shoes into work today as it looks like the weather will be OK, and will go for a walk at lunchtime. Can't do too much as no shower facilities.

I know what you mean. I'm the eldest of four and seem to be the only one who always does my duty and does the right thing by my parents. Then I get the guilt trip!
DH gets annoyed that it's always me who is there for them, the others seem to do a lot of taking and not so much giving......

The walk at lunchtime will help clear your head and forget about everything. Have a good day :)

Ditto - hope the walk at lunchtime will be in a nice park.
