Awake at daft o'clock again. But couldn't actually 'get up' as no hot water, even once switched on, it takes nearly an hour to heat up , so made a cup of tea and read for a while. Maybe I should have done some ironing.:D
But I HAVE - swished the bathroom and emptied bin
Swished around the kitchen, sorted lunch and taken stuff out of freezer for tea.
Transferred quidco money to cc bill
Done surveys and requested reminder for bingo sites in case there are any offers on.

Hopefully another NSD today. Will take some lentil curry and rice into work for lunch, and have an apple that will look more appetising when its all chopped up.

Need to find somwhere to get those vacuum bag things, so I can put spare duvet's etc. away properly instead of just draped on the floor!

What is it about under the stairs ? Is it cos we can shut the door on it ? One day I'll get under there, but I'll be sure to let someone aware of my whereabouts first.
    Have a good day.

My house is so weird - I have two under the stairs spaces - one is completely open, and comes out into the lounge - thats got a bookcase in, so thats okay - and the other is completely enclosed - so, not a problem in terms of decluttering, but certainly a storage space that isn't being used. Not my problem any more, in one week and six days :D

You did a lot of work this morning, gill, well done you :)

    Hi
Mine never used to have a door on it, now it has things have been known to just disappear, I am convinced there is a big black hole in there. So now its just a big empty space, and I want DS and his mates to take the door off etc. and put some shelves up so it can be used properly.

KC - I find I am better doing things of a morning, once I get in from work its hard to motivate myself. I see the countdown has started, glad you're not moving next Friday, that would have freaked me out.

I'm like that too with energy levels - tho I spike early in the morning, I also spike late at night, which can be a bit of a problem - candle burning at both ends and whatnot :)

Black hole under the stairs = its just like odd socks - and I found an earring *in* the washing machine that I lost over a year ago. I tell you, there's a hole in the spacetime continuum, and it sucks in little things like chequebooks, earrings, pens and socks. And maybe big things like computer parts too, when there's solar flares. Its true!

    Little challenge - 1

my sister and family are away at the moment, mum is away from Sunday, so intend house to look different (read tidier) when they get back

    Little challenge - 2

List contents of freezer - I suspect its full of stuff I'll never eat so need to foist it on DS

    Little challenge - 3

    Not mention planes to mum

Mum, as mentioned above, is going away on Sunday. I only know this because I am lending her some spending money - how good is that having spare money?!

Big question - how is she getting to the airport? Which airport? When?

So my little challenge is to try not to mention it to her when she's on the phone each night and see how near to the time she gets before she actually mentions it :D

    Little challenge - 4

figure out how anyone can possibly carry 20 library books. I took 3 out today and virtually dislocated my shoulder. Also bought an audio book for £3 - KC is right, should use the time productively, but would hesitate to get anything that requires concentration.

Right off to cook tea - chilli, slow cooked at the weekend and taken out of freezer this morning. I can feel a halo appearing :)

:rotfl::rotfl:I once lost a pendant which had been a 21st present, no idea where, until one day I saw my Nan with an identical one. She had found it on the floor in her bathroom, I hadn't been in there for years! And she was one of the most houseproud women I have ever known.

    Love your nan!

Do your library do audio books? Ours had a separate music section but its all combined now - you might have to go to the central one, but you could get out loads and renew them online - I have to say, I take my luggage trolley with me quite often now, if I have to carry anything much - my arthritis won't take too much heavy shopping pressure :( Yes, I *am* turning into a bag lady :)

    Pay day today!
It should be a good one as DS also gets paid today so will be putting his 'keep' into account too.

Money plans are the boring usual.
    £20 gas and electric
    £45 -ish petrol
    £45 for groceries

Also need to allow for £7.50 car parking in work, and around £10 for having shoes heeled. May buy some scales too, as no idea if I've lost any weight.

I am making payments to mortgage weekly instead of monthly, so in effect will always be slightly ahead, no idea if it will make any difference in terms of interest, but its easier for me to manage. So £140 has gone to them today. This also means that in a 5 week month they will end up with extra.

KC - our local library doesn't do audio books but the one next to work does, they charge for them - only £1.40 for 3 weeks though. The one I bought yesterday was from a sale at the library.

Girl in work was talking about trying soapnuts, so have bagged some up and taking them in for her. Off now to print off the guidelines for using them.

Will do some diary trawling later.
