When we were kids and used to go camping in Wales, Runcorn Bridge was considered to be the start of our holiday and seeing Hale lighthouse was the end. Funny how you see things when you're a child.

House is blitzed, well sort of, as Mum and sister are coming for tea tomorrow. What they can't see won't hurt them :rotfl:

I can relate to that! When we got a car, we'd go to Wales too, although we were in Wallasey - the first sign that we were really on our way was on the other side of Birkenhead, Neston way .. no motorways then! And ... Neston. I remember Neston and a pink house..... I can't believe I've forgotten the name of that crossroads!

    Ah well.

Tea. Take care of yourself, its your house - and yes, I also stuff things into cupboards, or into rooms they (probably) won't go in :) gl gl gl gl

Ah well, another year older, but at least not deeper in debt!

Mum and sister came round for tea yesterday, and we had take away. Its become a bit of a tradition on my birthday. Mainly because I CBA cooking! Have now got another 2 bottles of wine to add to my collection; as I only open it if friends are round, I receive more than I use.

I forgot to add 'buying cakes for work' into my budget, so that cost me money yesterday. Afraid I was a bit of a cheapskate and bought those packs of mini flapjacks and mini muffins from supermarket. I'll be ****ed if I'm buying cream cakes for an office of 25 people!

No money spent up to now today, as I've been in an office with free parking -
    Payday tomorrow :T

Later today I've got to work out budget properly. I *know* that I have enough money to last, and that I don't overspend, but I find it a problem managing monthly bills, when I'm weekly paid. Have had to move money from savings to pay a bill, but next week will have lots spare, so can move it back.

Managed to get through the week without any extra spending so quite pleased with that, but today I've got to stock up on things like loo roll and margarine.

DS is off today so apparently we are going to by some new fish for the tank, not sure if that means the 'royal' we.

Didn't sleep very well last night so will get stuff done and then sit down and watch the Hungarian GP later.

Birthday weekend - a little snooze since you didn't sleep well, a little tipple, maybe even another takeaway? Have a good one.

    Thanks KC

if I can get everything done this morning, I have a chilli in the slow cooker so that will be ready later, and a bottle of white in the fridge. Not sure how early is too early.
