Morning... how do you feel now? I had a little blip on holiday, actually - my mum speaks to me in a way she'd never speak to my brother or sister, and I just couldn't sleep properly. I did doze, but I just wasn't getting enough sleep. In the end, I sat up in bed and wrote about it - thats the way I get things out of my system a little bit, and it was enough to fall asleep properly by about 7am, just for a couple of hours. It was exactly what you describe - the not confident one being hurt by the one who doesn't feel they have anything to apologise for :(

My vote for you today (not that you've asked :o:o:o) is Tatton Park - I bet it will be lovely, and it will take you out emotionally and physically. It would for me, thats all - I went to the South of England Show recently in that kind of state, and it was brilliant, reminded me of what its like to get out and enjoy myself. And since you've got your sister to go with, even better. Tho of course, you might just want to relax after all of that intensity.... I hope you enjoy whatever it is that you decide :kisses3:

    Thanks KC

putting it down here helped, but I was in bits last night. It's even worse as I feel I should be 'grown up' enough to cope, but actually have got less confident as I get older not more.

We did go to Tatton Park,( thanks for the vote) it was lovely. Never been before, and always thought that garden shows were a pit posh, but it wasn't. TBH a walk anywhere would have been good. Last time I was in Tatton it was the end stage of a 40 mile bike ride, so it was a bit different.
Still spent no money, sister bought some plants and stuff.

The ironing fairies didn't turn up while I was out so off to watch a bit of telly and do some ironing.

Good idea to write it down KC, I have done that before.

Glad you went to Tatton Gill. I went years ago - we got free tickets - but it was pouring down and very muddy - plus DD1 was only a few weeks old, so it wasn't the best! :D

One day I would love to go to Chelsea - when I'm DF I think.... Good luck with the ironing x

I'm glad it went well - shame the ironing fairies lost your address, they're pretty careless about mine, tbh - don't work too hard at it tho.

Another manic day at the coal face, need to have a sit down with managers and sort out what my role is for the next few weeks as we are in a bit of limbo between the hectic information gathering part of the project and when the training starts and the project going live.

Brother has just rung..."just to see how you were, see if you're OK" so I'll take that as an apology then.

Today's spend is the normal £1.50 parking, went over the Bridge and there was no traffic at all this morning so the holidays must be kicking in.

If he's anything like my brother, he rings once a year usually, on the day after my birthday, to tell me he forgot to send a card. So it might well be his version of an apology, which is good.

I'm glad the traffic is easier for you - which bridge is it, the Runcorn one? I hope the holidays *are* kicking in - the M25 is worse, but inside London is better, and its a London day on Friday.

    Have a good one.

Hi, yes its Runcorn Bridge, so its never exactly quiet, but is a bit easier at the moment. My brother doesn't ring very often, so I'm taking that fact that he rang at random as a gesture of conciliation.

Got home to a letter from insurance company that they have credited mortgage account, so thats a load off my mind.

Brother has already given me flowers for my birthday, so don't expect a card too!

Flowers! Wow :) and excellent news on the credit to the account, thats a good one.

I like Runcorn Bridge - I go over the train one, of course. Last year, there was an American couple on there who were just going up for the day from London, so they could say they'd been, they adored The Beatles so much. They thought the river (the tide was out) might be a lake, so of course I piped up and told them where we were, and what it was, and pointed out the canal, blah blah - I love it that people want to see so strongly :)
