3 weeks! and they've got to work out how to get the cars back.
Off to work in a bit, need to renew bus pass this week, have had to put a reminder on my phone, or I'm bound to get done. Butties made, tea and coffee is paid for by company, so saving money really.
Only downside is, although you can go on the internet, it is very restricted, even in your lunch break.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Interesting day, met the guy from the agency who placed me in the job. You know when you speak to someone loads and sort of build up a mental image, and its never the same? Well he was! And his boss was a typical sales guy.
Then, being good, I got off the bus two stops early for the exercise, and a house I've always loved is for sale. Its WAY out of my price range and much bigger than it looks from outside, but has got me thinking (again( about what to do with this one once DS moves out (soon -ish). It needs lots doing to it, won't sell in its current condition.
This is the house http://www.suttonkersh.co.uk/propertydb/product.php?xProd=24907&xSec=3

Oooh that looks nice Gill! We are on the same page property wise this week, aren't? It looks like it has a very nice feel - which is odd to get that from photos, but it looks homely - loving the groovy brown sofa and matching curtains!
Don't ask me - I'd say make an appointment to view0 -
It's a house I've passed most days for 30+ years and it just looks 'homely' - its all chintz and wood inside. Not sure about the turquoise bathroom suite. Its way beyond me financially and lots bigger than it looks and would cost to update. I drive past and see the sign but it was only walking past that tempted me to look.
macgirl its all your fault. But I should be looking to smaller, not larger.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Well, an agent did tell me "Don't look at what you can't afford"......
But, what the hell - life's too short!!! (actually, scrap that - that's the old me)

Hi Gill - houses are so personal aren't they! I like the garden but wasn't keen on the house.. I tend to like bigger rooms eg bedroom (we have a superkingsize bed!) It does look like a friendly house I agree. The first house we bought had an aqua bath set - I think colour can be nice... That one seems very expensive though to me....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Oh yes its very expensive, especially for what it is, an ex gatekeepers lodge.
The area of Liverpool I live in was originally a village, and nearer the river is a 'Park' which used to be gated where all the ship owners had their villas, so there are quite a few of them around and I've always wondered about them. In those days (mid 1800's ) most rooms in that type of house were probably small. Its way, way beyond me, but there is just something about that type of house that grabs me.
Being a bit older, I have memories of my mum and dad looking at houses and raving over one with an avocado suite  They settled for a house with a blue suite and a pine cladded kitchen, and a living room with a built in bar and red lights:). The pack has arrived for the Race for Life. That should give the incentive I need to do something.
Have found my 'couch to 5k' podcast, but it was a bit much for me last time. I was told later that the bits when it says walk for a minute, you are meant to stroll, not at my walking speed which apparently resembles a quick march.
I've just realised I haven't put my expenses in for a few weeks so will claim those back, just in time as bus pass runs out on Friday.
Things must be looking up, my Mum asked if she could borrow some cash and I didn't go into instant panic mode.
Have been working for a month now so will sit down at the weekend and try to work out what I will be able to manage in the way of payments.
I'm going to ring Provident tomorrow, I normally pay around £140 but the balance is only £158 and you get something back if you settle early so may pay it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
