Sorry you've not been well, that sounds horrid - hope you are feeling better now.

Any idea why you've suddenly got the DCA letters?

I haven't had asthma for years and had forgotten how weak it leaves you feeling.

Checked with CAB and asked NID and apparently DCA's do a check to make sure you are still at the address they have. Checked credit file and sure enough there was an address check done. They are just trying it on. Advice is to ignore them.

Well it never rains but it pours.

I revised my CV and sent it to a few agencies, letting them know that I will be available end of June/July. Have had 3 phone calls today, one from a software house who want an implementation consultant, which requires a bit of travel but sounds really interesting, and the other 2 are for more local jobs, doing exactly what I was doing at previous job but for more money! Have got an interview on Tuesday :j

Got paid today, manager forgot to do my time sheet last week, so got 2 weeks money, so have to do a bit of juggling as used mortgage money last week to buy food.

Budget for groceries has been getting stretched a bit lately as couldn't be bothered cooking when feeling ill, but ate ready meals that were really tasty. Need to rein it in a bit so back to my £50 but really £35. It makes me feel better if i allow £50 and then have money left to put to one side rather than allowing £35 and cursing every penny spent. Daft. but it works for me.

Now I'm feeling better need to get back into walking again. Rang friend to see if she wanted to come out for a walk and she suggested that I cycle to her's and then we go round the park. So let me get this right, I cycle 3 miles, then walk twice round the park, 4 1/2 miles, and then cycle home, but she just does the park bit :) Something not quite right there.

    Whoo! Great news Gill :T

Things are looking up. To me there does seem to be a strange air of optimism around. I've heard of 2 people who's got new jobs just today.
It does seem odd all things considered, but it's all good!

Really hope you get fixed up next week. It would create a bit of breathing space for you. Glad you are fighting fit again. Take it easy though and keep giving yourself treats. You're worth it :)

DS was out last night so didn't see him until he came in early hours. He had been the DJ supporting his friends who were MC's and supporting the Sugar Hill Gang. Usually when he tells me things I've never heard of them but even I know who they are. So he now has a performers wrist band so drove me nuts at 2 this morning telling me all about it.

Just what you need when you've got to be in work.

Interview next week is for a Council, for a project manager job, so once I've done shopping this weekend will be doing some reading up, going back over old notes from previous projects, checking contact names and making sure I use all the right terminology to let them know that I know what I'm talking about. I don't have a lot of self confidence and don't sell myself well in interviews but this one would be great. Also its for a start in July which fits in fine with current job.

DS is buying tea from the chippy tonight, fish chips and peas. Can't beat it really.

My sister saw the Sugar Hill Gang the night before - she said they were fantastic - real showmen. My Mum and Dad meanwhile, were living it up watching Rod Stewart - they said he was fab too!

Maybe do abit of visualisation before the interview? Imagine yourself doing the job competently, getting on well with the other staff and achieving results. You know you have the skills and experience, so imagine yourself talking calmly and confidently in the interview about your achievements this far, and what attributes you can being to this role.

Don't let the doubts creep in - you'll be fab ;)

    Thanks mac

I'd have preferred Rod Stewart too!

Have been going over my last few years appraisal notes and some of my project notes, making sure I know my facts. I need to get some more detail about what the role involves, who I will be working with etc., but will get that at the interview.

Was sitting quietly when I heard a big bang from outside, didn't know what it was until I went into yard to find a piece of cast iron gutter has fallen down and smashed loads of plant pots. Now have got to start ringing round for emergency repairs. Just what I needed :( must have been the torrential rain last night that finally finished it off.

Interview today, by the time I got to the interview the role had changed from the one I originally was put up for but.....

    I got the job!!!:j:j:j:j

Initially 3 month contract but likely to be extended, and back on the money I used to be on. Just need to make sure I don't get back into that comfort zone again and start actually making a dent in the debts.
