:jMorning
oops, I've sort of lost track of everyone! I've tried to catch up on diaries but I think I need a summary sort of thing.
So far I've worked out
pippi has the littles back
hypno's on holiday
Souk is on holiday
KC has had mum to visit and is sorting out tidying
DT has been to the cinema
cheri tried (unsuccessfully) to become Billie Piper
and that's as far as I got.
I am *very* tired and a bit concerned about money, I think I'll have to use savings to get me through September, as I've started work mid month, so have things to pay out but no work since mid July, and only half a month salary to come.
Hire car has arrived, so had a little play in that last night.
Mum is back in hospital, it was sort of expected; she was told last week that if things didn't start improving, they need to monitor why not. So yesterday when the cardiac nurse visited, she made the decision to admit Mum to the heart unit for assessment. Personally I suspect its the cigarettes;)
So, having been in Berkshire all week, drove to Birmingham on Thursday night for meeting yesterday, and then drove home, had a quick cuppa and then headed to the hospital where we sat for 5 hours waiting for a bed to be sorted.
I really should do some tidying - but it just won't be happening today.
Washing machine is on

Oof, thats a tough week. Sorry you've got to use savings, but at least you know why, its an administrative thing because of when you started - you'll be able to "repay" yourself, won't you?
All that intense meeting work, and driving, and then a hospital for 5 hours ... thats not nice. Of course you're not doing any tidying today! Just the basics - food, a nice bed, some peace and quiet, a bit of a chat. Take care ((((((((((()))))))))))))))2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry to hear about your Mum but probably for the best.
You have had a busy week I shall be in Birmingham on Wednesday nice to get back to my roots. I like how you picked going to the cinema for me as the resume the one positive in a very cr*p week
Sorry the money situation is tight but you know it is only temporary

Just hopping in here to see how you're doing ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

thanks KC
I was really really tired yesterday. Mainly because I'd planned on resting on Friday night, and it never really happened.
Trundled to local shops and picked up a few bits. Then went to Mum's, then visiting etc. so most of the day just disappeared.
So far today, usual Sunday stuff.
w/m is on, b/m is on. going to visit this afternoon, and then to a friends for coffee, so will make a cake in a bit.
Am sat here at the moment making jewellery, just chilling.
I am working from home tomorrow!! Originally planned because of not being sure when hire car being delivered, so will still do that. More of a chance to chill, and at least have a lie in.
On another point - I've never stayed in a Premier Inn before - the beds are HUUUGE!!! I'm not that tall, and when sat on the side, my feet didn't touch the floor. I dropped my book, and nearly fell out of the bed trying to reach down to get it.
I'm also glad that the hotels are booked straight to the company account, as there is no way I could pay for them and be reimbursed.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have been to visit Mum - fate took a hand today.
Originally I was going to go this afternoon and sister this evening, just in case nobody else was going. BIL suggested we both go together, so instead of getting to the hospital at 2 we didn't get there until after 3 - to find that she had just had a serious attack that involved the crash team. So glad I never arrived on my own while that was going on.
Diet probably gone to pot - have had cake today at friends house, and now just had chips!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I am so sorry that your Mum is not too good so glad that BIL was with you.
I think you need comfort food when you have had a shock there is always tomorrow for the diet. Hope your Mum will be better soon and enjoy your lie in.

Thanks DT - at least Mum was in the right place when it happened, so it was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. I do feel a bit more reassured about her at the moment, strange as it seems.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Oh my word
as you say, your mum was in the right place at the right time, which *is* reassuring ... even tho you're reassured, this is more emotional strain - I'd be taking a multivitamin/multimineral if I was you .... big change plays havoc with our immune system, even if its *good* change.
Very glad to hear of cake! I hope you get good news about your mum soon ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0
