Not sure what his intention was but it was the way he said 'you've got your.....'

Mum was OK, she's just getting depressed because she can't go out, and apparently yesterday she had gone outside intending to potter around the garden and dead head some flowers etc. but had to sit down after five minutes. And then found she had no cigarettes to make her feel better!

So she's going to look out all her paperwork and I'll try and work out what level of DLA she's on etc. She was first assessed 9 years ago, when she had her heart bypass, and then she fell and broke her ankle and it never healed properly. Her needs have changed since then, as she may be entitled to higher rates.

Hopefully I'll hear something in the next day or two about the jobs, was also talking to someone today who is self employed and does the finance side of my job, so there may be some links there too.

Washing machine is whizzing round, as I'm away at the weekend, lots to do.

Hi Gill thanks - just sent you another email a contact through linked in... If you want you can link in to me on linkedin and then I suggest you join some of the groups I'm in - that could give you some useful contacts... My profile gets looked at 10-20 times a week - and I regularly get details of jobs sent to me... I am also still on monster and total jobs... and changeboard.... May be worth uploading your CV on there again if you haven't already - also Reed....

Thanks SH - I am registered with Reed, that's who I worked for in Cheshire, and in fact they are on of the people I am waiting on a phone call from. I think my cv is on jobserve and monster, but thanks for reminding me, I need to check they've got the latest version.
I'm on a few specific groups on linkedin, related to my job, but some of them are very technical.

Today I am going to try and get my hair cut. I'm sick of it being up in a bun because its too fine to do anything with. Not sure I'm brave enough to have colour done. The shop I used to use has been sold, and I trusted them.

Other jobs today - more washing, visit Mum, go to Costco, then grocery delivery, ironing, more ironing. Whizz round with hoover, make some cards, sort out craft stuff. And if I've got time, go out for a decent walk.

I also need to work out what to take to Wimbledon, snacks, drinks and clothes. It didn't bother me last time, as I went with people from work and we were all similar size etc. but I'm going with my sister, who always looks good even in scruffy jeans, whereas I have been known to look scruffy in a suit!

I'm going to make some scones - I've *borrowed* pippi's recipe and mindful of what cheri said about them, I've searched out all my cutters.

And its raining again, and I've got washing out!!

First batch of scones not that good, did them in the halogen and I think its a bit hot, so they cooked on the outside faster than on the inside. Second lot are rising much better.

I got 15 from the receip, which was a stickier dough than i normally use. Not sure they're very good for the diet though. But then I'll be doing strawberries and cream and Pimms at the weekend, so I may as well give up for this week!

Been really busy - craft stuff is looking a bit tidier and I've made quite a few cards while I was sorting. Made me realise I need to get a table sorted so I can have a proper area, not just clutter the living room up.

Been to Mum's, did some hoovering and dusting there, stripped her bed, put washing out on line, and bedding in machine. Then came home and DS decided to sort the outhouse out (well technically it used to be a bin shed!) So feel really mucky and tired. But it stopped me eating - well until I stopped anyway.

Couldn't get hair cut today, but have appointment for first thing tomorrow, which is actually better, as I should be able to keep it looking OK for the rest of the day! Then off to brothers tomorrow night, and then Wimbledon on Saturday.

    Can't wait.
