    Hi to redsqirrel

I used to get the veg boxes a lot, but then was unemployed so couldn't afford them, then was working so much I wasn't in to take the delivery. The quality is really good.

I'm really looking forward to Wimbledon, just hope it doesn't rain too much.

Thanks for the info on freelancing sites. Most of the bad stories I've heard have been because of not really being able to compete with 3rd world hourly rates, and then the appalling quality of the work done. I'll do a bit more research.

What company are you using for your veg boxes (PM if you'd prefer)? We got Abel & Cole ones for a while when they had a special offer on but then got out of the habit.

Having said I've not had any luck with the freelancing sites.. I've just this minute had an email from someone wanting to discuss a bid I put in!

Good luck with the bid, which of the many strings to your bow is this for?

The veg boxes are from a local company they have a fruit farm where you can go and pick your own etc. and started doing the veg and fruit boxes. They have a website that co-ordinates stuff from all over the area, including meat and other goodies. I'll pm you the name anyway.

Watching Wimbledon, remember watching Laura Robson in the juniors a few years ago, and now she's doing quite well in the main draw against Maria Sharapova.

    Go girl!

I used to use a veg box scheme locally, but its about 15 years ago now. I was never in on their delivery evening, so they left it outside the door - under a downpipe, which I had to continually phone them about, lol. The highpoint was when a local hedgehog discovered the tomatoes! I'd taken the box inside the house, and realised that my cats were very excited about vegetables, then realised one of the bags was moving

It was only in the house about 3 minutes, but by the time I carried the whole box outside again, the hedgehog's partner was sniffing around the front door looking for it, bless :kisses3:

Oh so cute - not being in was one of the reasons I stopped getting deliveries. It's not really practical to leave stuff on the doorstep of a terraced house!

Absolutely not! It was okay for me and mine because it was thirteen steps up to my front door, no one could see that.

Mothers! What do you do with them?

Mine asked me to check her computer as she can't send emails; I wanted to install Rapport too for her online banking. When I got into her emails there was one from a finance company; asked her what it was and she sort of fudged a bit. Eventually got it out of her that it was a payment plan. "do you know what its for?" "No"

This is what these people hope for, they ring and ring, hoping someone will bite. One more thing that needs to be sorted out.

Aargh! Hope you manage to sort it ... I can see the day coming when my mum will do something like that. She was really offended with me earlier this year when I reacted quite strongly to the news that she'd let cold callers into the house - two of them! Anything could have happened ... this time it was okay, but really ....

    Best of luck with this.
