Thanks SH - I forget where you work. I would be glad of any help, thanks.

Internet in hotel not very good - probably everyone watching tennis on iplayer!

Another beautiful day - it ended up being far too hot to go to zumba and I got involved in a phone call with an ex-colleague who has been treated quite badly, and then engrossed in the tennis.
Downside of the weather though is Mum's breathing is bad again, not sure if its the weather, or the fact that they've changed her medication (AGAIN!!) This happened last time they changed her medication, so not too happy with them.

Typing this before starting work, so off for now.

Only 2 more full weeks of work left, so really need to get my @rse into gear.

I am expecting to hear this week about a few jobs that agencies have put me forward for. I also got to see the power of networking in action today too! At the end of an email last week I added the name of the person who would be picking up a project because I was finishing. I received an email via linkedin stating that a company were looking for people with my skill set. So I've sent my CV in, and they are going to contact me to arrange an interview. So fingers crossed.

It's gone a lot cooler here (not home, Shropshire) but there haven't been any storms. It just feels a bit weird.

Anyway popped back on here with this -

I went for a walk as it was a bit cooler, and couldn't be bothered sitting in a restaurant etc. so for once decided to go for fast food - I had some vouchers! Now this isn't something I do often, although I do like the coffee. Anyway, ordered meal to eat in as they have seats outside, and when it was ready the guy actually pointed to each item and told me what it was! I think I know the difference between a burger, fries and a coffee, but is this normal practice? I can't quite describe how it made me feel.

Thanks for that SH, will have a better look later, but it looks really good.

As they say on the telly "in other news..." Mum and sister have had a row and sister is really p!$$ed off. She had told mum that she wouldn't be able to go on Monday or Tuesday because of other commitments. Mum rang, all annoyed that nobody had been, all full of "you don't care about me, I'm here all on my own" etc. etc.Sister rushed down there only to find that the real problem was...she'd run out of cigarettes!

Going home tonight, so will call on the way home.

It seems to have cooled down a bit now, so the driving won't be too bad.

Burger guy sounds *weird* ... sorry to hear about the row, and the *cause* .... I had another little straw in the wind last night, my mum phoned me to ask about sunset times at Wimbledon (!) and she couldn't remember the name of the town I live in :( in one way, its just an ordinary slip of the tongue, so to speak, but its a pretty big one.

You're calling in to your mum's before you get home, is that right? Hope it goes okay ...

Fingers crossed for interview. Hope things were OK when you saw your mum.

Re burger guy - maybe it was more of a check for himself that he'd put everything on your tray?
