Getting out of my comfort zone

Blimey, that is scary! Looks like a lovely place though and the ducks are certainly enjoying it.
As for the red dress, definitely keep it. Shift dresses are timeless and although you might not wear it every season, it's a good staple and a classy change from black.
Hope the foot's improving and everything's ok generally

anyway, good luck with you! bless!0

Oh good lord! Hopefully you're on a bridge over that road? And you're safe and warm? It must be a bit shocking to actually see something like that....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yes, I was on a little footbridge that I normally use to get to work. The ducks seemed to like wandering in and out of gardens. People who live in the area are used to it, but I found it a bit scary, and also not knowing the area, didn't know which roads were likely to be flooded so ended up on massive detours. My car is only little, can see the advantages of 4x4's around here.
Strangely enough, they haven't had much rain, its all come from Wales. Beautiful area, but if you can't get house insurance....

Yuck to yellow and purple stripes. But I'm still laughing at what you wrote on DT's thread about reading OU textbooks to DS when he was tiny instead of fairy stories

Hope the floods have gone down a bit today - thats a good point about local knowledge, is there anyone you can grill?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hopefully by the time I'm back in Shropshire, the water levels will have gone down. Most people in the office come in from the opposite direction, from the motorway, and apparently this is the first time in years that the town centre has been badly hit.
My new parcel of soapmaking stuff has arrived, so will be playing with that over the weekend.
Off to get some food.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Grrrrr:mad::mad:
Have spent the last few hours, on and off the phone to DS, I've posted this on the Employment board.
As regular readers will know, he's not that happy where he is anyway, but I am trying to advise him for the best.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Good grief. I'm shocked at that level of misconduct by a supervisor - no wonder your DS isn't happy! I'm sorry I've no constructive actual info for you .... if I think of anywhere that you can *get* info, I'll post again ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC
supervisor is a bit of a **** and runs the place like its his own little empire. Most of the other staff are friends or relatives etc. DS and the former colleague are the only ones that weren't.
DS has finally calmed down and gone to bed.
I have - as posted elsewhere- brushed the yard and hung washing out
Put another wash load in
Investigated all my little seed pots and stuff has started growning :j
BM is on, breadmix I got from Approved Foods for 10p. Use by end of Jan, so will see how it goes.
I have also measured kitchen and bathroom windows, on the lookout for 'something' not sure what yet.
Waiting for Mum to ring with shopping list, have tried to show her how to shop online, but its not really working for her.
So will then do shopping, potter round a bit, and then going to make some soap for sisters birthday present. Have got the makings for rose scented soap, already had the mixes, but got some petals - they also threw in some sparkly glitter stuff.
I may well rush round the shops to get back and play.

The nightmare sounds that they are all kind of interbred apart from DS so he is always on the back foot. Hopefully this will be a turning point and lead to a new and better job. There does seem to be activity in the jobs market, despite the doom and gloom in the media. I friend's husband is currently having a few interviews and had seen plenty more he can apply for - I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.
You sound like you've done loads already! My little bulbs are shooting in my pots and we've even got some dwarf irises up :T I get so excited, it's great to see the start of Spring.
I was looking at a growhouse on Amazon but now they've sold out and the ones from others sellers are 10 quid dearer  Think I need to get on and order one for my veggie seedlings.
Have a good day
