had a restless nights sleep, was wide awake at 3 ish, but although brain wide awake, eyes too tired to read or watch telly.

DS has finished nights for a few shifts, and he can't get to sleep, so we've just had bacon butties - him to see if it helps him sleep, me so I'm not hungry when I go shopping.

    Plans for today and tomorrow

    Finish sisters birthday card
Take a photo of it, with instructions for future reference
    Usual kitchen and bathroom stuff
Really seriously blitz living room, move furniture etc.
    Clear under stairs cupboard
Put DS' dj stuff under stairs
    Blitz dining room
Put up new chest of drawers
    De-clutter old chest of drawers.
    Move bookshelves
    Tidy craft corner
Clear landing - why are 2 computers there?

    Food shopping
    Clean hall and stairs carpets

Off to make a start, have a good day.

Sorry to hear you slept so badly .... I do know what you mean about the looking old biz - but I like that question What Would Coco Do - I've used that in the past to good effect, but I let it slip when I moved here.

Lovely plans for your sister's birthday! As for the plans for this weekend - there's a lot of houseworky stuff there, tho I do like the decluttering stuff :) make some "me" time, hey?

    Back later
    xx

  • Hi KC

the BIG houseworky stuff is the sort of thing I can realistically do when DS is around, as have been known to move a sofa and then not be able to climb back over it! He can also lug stuff up into the loft for me, so making use of having someone of 6ft around.

Hair is now washed, so will try to look a bit smarter, then off to the shops. Its five to ten, any minute now Mum will ring with her shopping list, so have pen and paper ready.

:eek::eek: to getting trapped by a sofa - makes sense to do it with DS around, then.

I've been working for *days* on my to-do list for this house, breaking it down room by room, and I've finally finished it - next is me, I think :rotfl: if I find anything on youtube about simple hairstyling, I'll let you know :o

  • Sister's birthday card. Quality of photo not marvellous, quality of card, a fair bit better.

Lovely! There's hints there about your weekend away too!

well I've bitten the bullet and booked an online grocery shop. It may cost a little more, but I don't have the time to be trawling round, and would sooner spend my Saturday pottering. I will still go to the butcher and the grocer, mainly for the quality, but will see how it goes. Did it through quidco too, so will get some cashback.

This one was Mr T, as I've also got points left over from Christmas that needed using. Will try Mr A another time maybe.

As for the list, well its a work in progress.

Totally agree with the online ordering. When you think of the time you spend getting to the shop, going round, queuing, paying, getting it all back to the house - thats all done for you! I'm lucky in that I can book deliveries for the very cheapest time of day/week, its only £3 - even with my income, I willingly pay that out of my supermarket budget, just once a month for a "big" shop.

    Hi

On the Radley bags, it's worth keeping an eye out on the grabbit bit of the forum, quite often Radley links are posted. If the bag is out of the price range they quite often spot purses etc..
