KC, I once printed out a load of stuff off the OS board, and have to keep looking back at it, as I tend to forget and buy toxic stuff.

NL - that would be great, will send you a text later, when normal people are up.

    :hello:

Thats a good idea - I'm pulling together stuff I've got to make a "life" folder - cleaning, the new website of mine, exercises, and my DIY list for each room.

    How you doing?

Oops! I nearly bought a new computer on Ebay!

This will mean nothing to most people but I really want a mac, I hate windows stuff with a vengeance, but obviously mac's are so much dearer than the equivalent pc. My trusty red imac is on its last legs, so spent last night moving the last of the stuff I really want to keep onto a memory stick, I really only use it now for watching DVD's or listening to music when pottering round the kitchen.

I have this little netbook, but you can't load stuff on it.

So, ..... I set myself a realistic limit and waited. I was outbid by 50p! But managed to restrain myself from getting carried away.

KC - I'm trying to sort my life out, I need to be better organised. Good idea to have sort of folders etc. When I next have a big tidy, I have all kinds of bits and bobs I've printed off , that I need to keep together. I also need to sort things like my salad stuff on the shelf, and remember to water them etc.

Well I am a bit of a div saying text me whe your phone is busted!!!!

I am passing your house next Saturday, so I will drop it off. My great neice had great fun unwrapping a present that wasn't hers though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(she is 5 and knew it wasn't hers but wanted to see the phone colour)

Do you read mrs robinsons thread at all? She did a great post about what you do to clean your house in 2 hours. I looked for it last weekend and have saved it as I am most likely to do something that someone else has suggested ;)

Also, the fly lady 15 minute boogie is good :T

And I understand completely about getting a MAC ... why don't you try for one where the auction ends during the week. Only smart ebayers have their auctions ending on Sunday evenings because people watching are either bored or traumatised / depressed about Mon (so if you sell ALWAYS end your Auction at 8 - 8.30 UK time - you will pick up depressed shopaholics from all over Europe :))

Salad stuff! I'm so looking forward to getting to plant things. My mum was reminding me to do everything I can in the house in the next 6 weeks, because after that you really need to be working in the garden - I know yours is a yard, Gill, but it sounds like you use it to the full.

I have to be careful to leave enough space to get out of the back gate:) and a little bit of space for a chair of course.

I have a little plastic greenhouse (from Wilko's) and a 'cloche' and pots that are sort of terraced, so make a lot of use of whatever I can. If you have a wilko's or similar, you can often get 'salad' packs quite cheaply, just to start off with.

NL, phone is a bit hit and miss, so it looks like it works, and then it dies. DS is trying to persuade me to get an iphone, but I think not. Thanks for the ebay tip, I've got a few that I'm watching, all with different end dates, so will just look and see what they go for. I know the price of a refurbed one from a shop, so have set my limit realistically. I could get a windows lappie for much less, but I prefer mac's.

I do the flylady thing, 15 minute bursts, but haven't read mrs robinson; is that the same mrs robinson who used to post on hypno's thread?

Off for food in a minute, have been good in work and took jacket spud yesterday, and today had salad, but need something a bit more substantial.

Also, I'm going to update my blog a bit, and sort out linkedin, and .....all sorts of stuff that seemed really important about an hour ago!

    Have a good evening.

Quick post before dashing out of the house, I tried to get a mobile from Virginmadness as they had a good offer for existing tv and broadband customers, but it was too much hassle, too difficult to get through, so I complained about their appalling customer service, and how much it cost me to ring them. They are ringing me today! So when I get home, will find out what they come up with.

Good for you for putting the complaint in. I have to say, I'm moving from Virgin broadband as soon as my 12 month contract is up, and nothing would ever persuade me to go back to them, no matter how big the signup bonus. They'd have to be giving me all their services for free **and** paying me about £50 a month, to feel it was worthwhile being with them..... sorry! I hope they come up with a really good deal for you, tho.

Virgin media - we are with them for broadband etc. and other than regularly cutting us off, the service is fine.

But....got a leaflet about really good deal for mobile, and as my phone has broke, this was less than I pay and with working away and being on the road, pay go wouldn't really do it for me, so gave it a try. Got an email saying ' there may be a problem, ring, open 24/7 - held on for 45 minutes, to be told, sorry ring back during office hours tomorrow. But I'm at work during office hours. Operator told me to ring from work ( how unprofessional!) - can't use mobile, its broke, that's why I'm ringing you!!
Tried a few times, and each time was over half an hour and then got cut off or fobbed off. By this time getting really annoyed, so emailed a complaint.

So, have got a 'courtesy' credit of £25 on the broadband bill. They're sending me a broadband dongle, and some paygo sims pre-loaded with credit, and when they get the blackberry back in stock, am going to get one of those for £10.21 a month.

    ***Money stuff ****
This is the BAD week, because its 4 weeks after Christmas and I didn't work away that week, so only have last weeks money to go in the bank.

    Money into account - £211
Money to go out - £586.82

Fortunately, I have been careful the last few weeks, because I knew this would happen, so...

    Money out
Mortgage weekly payment and secured loan monthly - £550
Still to go out - Union sub and various insurances £36.82
Money left in current account - £107 :T
Need to spend out of that - £40 petrol £20 in gas and electric meters.

Hopefully money will hit account in time to pay hotel bill next week, or I'll have to move it from the HMRC savings.:(

    Off to work now.

    Have a good day.
