Oh bad news
Hope you manage to get a good deal 0 -
Thanks macgirl, I've got DS on the case, he's having a look around and will try to reduce my monthly bill too. for the amount I use pay as you go would be better in some ways, but don't like the risk, especially with being away. Need to stay with Orange because most family and friends are on it, can't get a signal locally from 3 or t mobile, so it limits choices anyway.
Today I'll try and keep it on charge, and see if I can sort the battery out, sometimes you can do something with the contacts.

What a pain about the phone .... hope DS can find you a good deal.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

DS has found me a phone, its a Blackberry Pearl, the only free one on Orange that isn't a touch screen one. I'm sure the day will come when you can't get a non touch screen phone, but I hope its not too soon.
I also get a 10% reduction on my current charge as a loyalty bonus. Will have a look around.
Mum has taken to ringing each night, to let me know she's ok - but she thinks she can only ring a mobile from a mobile, and she's on pay as you go. Will have to look at setting magic numbers up for her so its cheap.
I CBA going out tonight, as was awake at silly o'clock this morning. I've done my 15 minutes Spanish, and trundled round the diaries, so will now see if there's anything on the telly.
Oh yes, and I've realised I need to buy clothes in different colours. I just looked at my clothes hanging up in the hotel:-
1 black trouser suit
1 pair charcoal trousers
1 charcoal skirt
1 grey cardigan
1 off white blouse
1 black/grey/white striped blouse
1 black/grey/multi patterned blouse
1 grey patterned top
1 white camisole
1 black camisole
2 pairs black shoes
Holdall - black and white
Coat - black

For budget reasons, I may have to settle for a few key pieces - scarf maybe, or some jewelery. As I once said on DT's thread, if I wear a scarf I look like a girl guide ( in my day we had those triangle scarves, with woggles

:rotfl::rotfl: I had a scarf with a woggle in the guides too and that was probably *only* 15 years ago. :rotfl:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Its partly the way you fasten it on to you, Gill! :rotfl:
Its so good to analyse your wardrobe in that way - is that your work wardrobe, do you have more colour in your off duty clothes?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sadly my home wardrobe probably isn't much better, I seem to have got into the habit of buying stuff that goes together, so that seems to mean monochrome.
I do have some tops in deep colours, purple, emerald green etc. so should wear those more.
Scarves, I'm also sick of losing them
Anyhow, nipping on here in lunch to update this because I had some good news.
Had meeting with Director over project plan progress and took the bull by the horns and asked about how long the contract is expected to last. They currently envisage work until end of Feb, and may have other projects after that, subject to budget. Even better though, is the comment she made, "We are really happy with the progress you've made and the way its been done. We would never have got this done without you". It's good to be appreciated.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
