Ooh! having been a Christmas Elf at JL I can do Mastermind on coffee makers - go get them to whirl you thro' the range then save up and buy on line via quidco/topcashback0

A Christmas Elf at JL? That sounds brilliant! Gill, all I do for my coffee is that I have one of those over-the-cup drip filters - no individual paper filters - its all completely reuseable. I use Sainsbo bog standard organic coffee, and its fine.
Can't believe your lender does that! As a matter of interest tho, why don't you have a payment arrangement in place? Sounds interesting ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Because of the irregularity of getting paid, I won't do Direct Debit, so pay them every single week by online banking, but they don't see that as having a payment arrangement in place  they only count payments over which they have control. I am in work today so will ask someone in Housing Advice, as surely this is worthy of complaint.
Re: the coffee maker, I currently have a Bodum thing that sits on top of a cup, and it works fine, but its a pain for more than one cup.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Of course! If you've got friends in, or DS is home ... doh! All my friends seem to prefer instant ... I don't disillusion them and refer to my little coffee maker2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My friends 'get' instant, but good instant, but I prefer proper.
Having said that I've just made a pot of tea, and you can't beat it! Even the same make of tea as leaves, seems to taste better than the equivalent tea bag.
DS is off work, he says he won't go backso will dive round the shops and then make use of the fact that he's here to put stuff up in the loft etc. No use having someone tallish, and not making use of them.
Having paid myself back for 'work' spends, and got the cash back that DS borrowed, I still have £80 odd quid of the original £200. There is still money in the current account for bills etc. so not doing too bad.
Yesterday, though, I spent some money on:-
£1.50 - big ball of wool, don't know what I'm going to make, but it was a lovely colour
2 Audio books £1.99 each, Nelson Mandela's autobiography and an Agatha Christie.
£1.50 for a spanish language cd from the library, - but that's like a deposit, you get it back.
98p on a box of 'italian recipe' seeds from Wilko - tomato, courgette and basil, together with some pots and some compost.
Off to do the bathroom and kitchen.
Have a good day!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

It may not have escaped your attention.....but I love coffee too :rotfl:
I have a DeLonghi coffee maker - came from JL, and it is fab - I use it every single day......and it looks fab too - all sleek and sexy :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I'm going to do what NL suggests and have a wander round JL, see what they've got. My sister has a Tassimo, but she likes 'fancy' coffees, whereas I just like coffee.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I think old age is creeping up on me.
Sat down with a cup of tea and the thought 'will just google xxxxx' - in the 15 seconds it took for the lappie to switch on, I've completely forgotten what it was.:o
Had a bit of a blitz yesterday, moved things round in the kitchen, so it *looks* like there is more surface. There isn't but its more useable.
I also want to clear some space in dining room, and move my craft stuff back in there as I won't be making loads of cards for a while. Have taken some stock out of freezer for soup, will see what veg I can find and that will do for lunches. BM is on, as is washing machine. Will take stuff to launderette to dry, and also take bedding and towels. Today will be ironing mainly, hopefully the stuff thats dried in launderette won't need ironing.
Spends yesterday - not exactly sure as some of it was Mum's but definitely less than £40, so not too bad. Still need to get drinks for DS, when he gives me the money - 24 cans of Pepsi for £5 in Farmfoods should keep him going for a while. And no, he won't have own brand, but as he's paying, its his choice.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
