Thanks KC, it is nice, and the fact that apparently she went to a meeting yesterday to get approval to keep me on, and that's what she told them. I'm here to do a specific job, and it's going well, but its nice to know that you're making a difference.

All day today I've caught myself smiling every now and again, even when stuck in fog, in slow moving traffic. So, yes, its nice to be complemented. And for once, because it wasn't a personal comment, I was able to accept it for what it was. So a step forward for me there too.

It took hours to get home, so have chucked a ready made dinner in the oven, with some spuds, just to make use of the heat, and am about to chill on my own sofa for the night.

 Had a bad nights sleep because I was woken up by DS 'stomping' round the house in the early hours cursing Virginmedia, as the internet had gone off. They have a tendency to switch us off on the day the bill is issued, as I don't pay by DD. Couldn't get back to sleep for ages, but decided against getting involved in a conversation about it.

Have just been on the phone to Virgin, and they hadn't cut us off, so went through to faults, they talked me through a few things and its fine. I'm sure DS would have known how to do those things, but he was too p!$$ed off to try.
So will have to have a nap later.

Off to Mr M in a minute, have finally used up all my original budget, so having a rethink and will sit down with spending diaries later and work out weekly spend. DS has been quite good lately and cooked stuff out of freezer rather than getting take out, but that does mean freezer needs replenishing.

Back later, hope everyone has a good day.

Ouch to an interrupted sleep and time with Virgin Media already - I can't bear talking to them on the phone... any "service" like that, really, but Virgin especially .... you're very good not to confront DS about overnight stomping - and I hope you get lots of bargainous stuff at Mr M's.

Did really well at the shops, fridge is full, freezer not too bad, and have enough soft drinks for DS to sink a battleship. Total cost £34.55. (also nipped into Mr A and got some books for £1 each - cheaper than charity shop)

I've done some cleaning, lots of hot water and lavender oil, so house smells lovely. I've also put some oil in a pot with bicarb, so will give that a go for carpets; DS has obviously taken the bike through something nasty and the carpet reeks!

I'm going to walk down to local shops later for a mooch, but will just take the little purse with about a fiver in.
And theres footie on in a minute. Not sure if I can bear to watch any more, but will put the ironing board up and see how it goes.

Right ho - have you a phone sorted yet??? I have a basic sony ericsson (w200i) ... appears to have a camera on it was well and it is on orange. When I moved house in 2007, my virgin phone wouldn't work so it was a pay as you go from Argos (I didn't use it as there was no signal on Orange either ... gave to my sister but she didn't use it, but lost the box and acessories!!!). I have the phone and charger, but no instruction book, box or headphones (may have some for another sony somewhere).

Text me as I can go past yours tomorrow and could drop it off if required. No problem if not. I am also near the lamb banana.

Bicarb on the carpet! I forgot about that! I'm increasingly thinking I might have to have a domestic folder of some sort for a while - a todo list is all very well, but a how to list is even better :rotfl:
