I use the lakeland breathable bread bags. Have been for a week now. I can put a hot loaf straight out of the bread maker in it, seems to keep it fresh. They are on 3 for 20

I use the Lakeland bread bag and my shop bought
uncut bloomer is still fresh enough for sandwiches at the end of the week.

There are several ideas on keeping bread fresh in the link posted earlier that should be of help.

I have one of these but i ripped the plastic out of it fairly soon after buying it. I also then keep the bag in a tupperware box and find the bread stays fresh for a good few days. If you haven't got one already then I'd make one from a couple of thickish teatowels sewn together. I wrap my bread in a teatowel straight from the breadmaker (whilst it's still hot) and I find the steam stops the crust going too cripsy. Just depends how you like you loaf!0

I would make one with a couple of teacloths - its cheaper and just as good.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

Hello,
I've just brought a freshly baked bloomer from asda as it was on offer, what's the best way of keeping it fresh for longer? how long do they usually last? and can I freeze it?
Sorry to ask a lot of questions, I hope someone can help!
Jo

Hi Jo,
I find that bloomers don't really keep fresh for more than a day. You can freeze them though. Once defrosted sprinkle it with a little cold water and pop it into a hot oven for about 10 minutes and it will taste as good as when it was first baked.
There's an older thread with lots of tips on keeping bread fresh so I'll add your post to it to keep all the suggestions together.
