Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

So the car has cost me a lot of money (grrrr). £400 for tyres and essential repairs, £100 to renew breakdown cover (although will get £40 cashback through quidco).
House insurance also renewed, same price as last year. I pay that up front (£70) so that's sorted.
Total for music magpie £60, half boxed up (ran out of parcel tape), being collected a week tomorrow. Books next.
Have got a few bits finishing on ebay tomorrow, and plenty more to list. I'm trying to just list once a week so (assuming people pay quickly) I only have to go to the post office once or twice.
Was a bit naughty last night and had a dominos, but it did for lunch today as well.
2 weeks til payday. Will need a few bits for baby next week but not many other essential spends hopefully.0 -
I have been naughty and ordered a kipling bag on amazon. In my defence it was reduced to £30 then a Money off code brought it down to £26.
Apart from that, got a few bits today (parcel tape for ebaying, a valentines card and some eggs). Didn't get to tesco so tomorrow won't be a NSD, but I'm going to go to Morrisons as Lloyds are doing 10% cashback if you pay on your card.0 -
Spend day again as posted 2 ebay parcels (am another £30 up from ebay though). Didn't get to morrisons but it was nothing urgent - will probably go tomorrow when OH gets home from work. It's much easier doing supermarket shopping alone!
Have spent £100 on some show tickets for myself and 2 friends. One will be a birthday present and the other in return for a show ticket she got for me. Should be fun!
Today have used up some old tortillas and some slightly turning cheese and tomatoes for tea (made quesedilla type things). Just waiting for OH to get home from work, and avoiding doing ironing as I really can't be bothered! I must motivate myself and stop looking for more kipling bags on ebay.
Speaking of ebay, one of the bags of clothes I got off ebay for baby was an absolute bargain. When he's grown out of it I should be able to sell on for a profit due to most of it being "name" labels.
I have decluttered a pair of boots today (primark fake ugg) which have gone in the bin due to being totally wrecked (they were a year old). I need to start wearing my DMs again.0 -
Kipling bag arrived and it is beautiful. Definitely be useful for when I get back to work.
Yesterday was a spend day as posted last ebay item (until the next lot finish) and did the morrisons shop. Spent £45 so should get £4.50 cashback.
Going to try to keep it tight for the next week until payday - Mat pay has kicked in so will have to start using the savings but the less I spend the better. Will continue on the ebaying, and am considering applying for a job with an internet based firm that I could do from home. I imagine there will be a lot of applicants but I will give it a go I think.
Meter reader came yesterday so I can anticipate a fuel bill shortly. One thing I will not scrimp on is heating so I'm expecting a big one.
Having a moneysaving valentines meal - £4 sirloin steak from Morrisons, reduced price salmon for starter, and home made cupcakes for dessert.0 -
Haven't left the house today, it's still grim outside. Does mean no spending though!
Had a bit of a kitchen sort out, found some packet desserts I thought we'd run out of (angel delight type, they're delicious - an approved food special) and some stir fry mixes so that's good as they can go into the meal plan for the next few weeks. Also found some packets of refried beans that are heated up in the microwave - delicious but look like poo on a plate!
The kitchen is depressing me. It's so full of crap!0 -
CDs went to music magpie today. Hopefully should be £60 in my account soon for them. Also have 9 lots listed on ebay (I only do 9 at a time so I can keep track).
I do not need to buy any more baby clothes. Had a sort out today and found an entire drawer full that I'd helpfully folded away and tidied prior to tiddler arriving. So, we're pretty sorted for 6-9 and 9-12month, and then there's an entire ottoman full of 1yr+ clothes. I need to remind myself of this each time I start browsing ebay.
Went to the new Aldi near us today. Really good meat/veg deals, got some feeding spoons from the baby section for 99p and some baby wipes. Also noticed formula was 40p cheaper than tesco, which I don't really understand as there aren't supposed to be special offers on formula, but guess where I'll be buying it from now!0 -
I forgot to mention the Kipling bag I won on ebay on Sunday. Or the baby's football strip that I got for tiddler.
Should still have £100 left when payday comes on Friday. First reduced wage, but the less I have to take from the savings the better.0 -
NSD today, a few spends yesterday but all essentials. Apart from the greggs pasty, that wasn't essential. Was very nice though.
Decluttering is... going. Started on the books now. Found a few to stick on ebay, and a couple of big bags full for the charity shop so far.0 -
Had a night out which was quite spendy. Have had email from music magpie to say order is being processed so hopefully that money should come through soon. Am up to £20 with zapper so far and am around a 1/3 of the way through the books, barely even touched the DVDs.0
