Not Tiny, Not Courageous, but definitely in debt

oh wow, I started reading your thread then clocked Stephen Gately was a while ago before I realised how long this had been. I ended up crying over Peaches Geldof tonight! I just found it sad.
Hope things are much better now with clearing debt0 -
I've been trying to get debt free for a long, long time. This is the closest I've been.0

But its not the closest you will be ........... Youre doing amazingly well ! Keep it up, I really enjoy your diaryIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0

Cheque finally arrived from Zapper this morning. I however had to get a tooth taken out this afternoon (under sedation, can't stand the dentist, only having it done because dental treatment is free until tiddler is one, now that's what I call moneysaving eh!) so I won't get to the bank until Friday (because thanks Lloyds for turning our village branch into a TSB).
Also had won a bag on ebay. Totally different bag turned up, so opened a case requesting return and refund. Have been sent refund but no details for where to send the bag. Have messaged seller but not holding breath. If no response, free bag for me!
And a refund is moneysaving. I shouldn't have been bidding on it in the first place.
So far made £20 on ebay today with one item left to finish. Have a pile of stuff to list tomorrow. One person has paid so far.
Tiddler is 6 months old now so we're started baby led weaning. It's great fun. First day (yesterday)resulted in carrot covered baby and floor, but none in mouth. Today, we had carrot and brocolli in mouth as well as on floor. Success!
Need to do a not big but reasonably sized shop this week. Will go to morrisons as lloyds are still doing 10% cashback.0 -
I never thought I would spend time looking at baby poo, but it's fascinating stuff while weaning!
Tiddler's now on to banana as well. He's preferring that to the green stuff.
Made another £20 on ebay and have 4 more things listed. I'm running out of things to sell!
Did a big shop, went to Morrisons for the 10% lloyds cashback. Stocked up on baby milk and wipes, plenty of veg for tiddler and a couple of beers for myself!
Tomorrow a trip into town to pay in zapper cheque, and spend some mothercare vouchers on a new gro bag.0 -
Quite a spendy weekend with a few days out, but good fun. Payday is a week tomorrow, and I'm hoping not to have to touch the savings before payday.0

Made £55 on ebay today, got 3 things left to finish over the next few days.
Did an aldi shop yesterday, loads of fruit and veg, cheaper than anywhere else baby milk and their chocolate marbled brioche. Bliss! Will have to go back for more brioche tomorrow as I might have accidentally eaten it all.
Tiddler has his first tooth, and is eating well. Parsnip, sweet potato, celery and tomato all going down well. MIL sent over some little plastic pots so I'm going to cook lots of veg tomorrow and freeze it.0 -
Payday today, bills go out tomorrow. Am going to try to be uberfrugal this month as car insurance due (should be approx £350 which I have saved), and some car repairs and home repairs are also needed.
Ebay stuff all posted, 2 more things listed so far. I have a massive bin bag of baby clothes that I need to go through and list properly on ebay and facebook. Tiddler's cousin is coming round tomorrow so I'm hoping she'll take him out to the shops so I can get some stuff done.
I think it's 2 months until I'm back in work. Not looking forward to not being with tiddler all day but am looking forward to the money.
DH and I have downsized to one car. Should save us some money. DH is also sorting out childcare vouchers through his work so that's good. I was expecting to pay all the childcare myself so that's a bonus for me.
Am finding I'm eating more healthily since tiddler started on solids. Apart from the aldi brioche. They didn't have any in when I went yesterday and I was so sad but then I found a pack right at the back of the shelf and I was happy again. There's still some left as well.
I've just thought of something else I can list on ebay. There's a job for tomorrow.0 -
Debt is now £4650, and less than a year to go on the loan. I don't feel like there is a tunnel, but I can see sun and gold at the end of the rainbow.
Am going to spend the weekend checking we've got the cheapest car insurance quote, and get that sorted. Another search round the house for things to ebay and that should keep me busy.0 -
Car insurance done, £307 which is great, and £35 cashback which has already tracked. All paid for out of savings.
No plans for the weekend, will have a quiet one I think.0
