Few more things sold on ebay, just waiting for payment on 4 items now. One CD sold for a lot more than I expected, which is great.
Did an aldi shop, got baby milk, nappies and enough meat and veg for the next couple of weeks. Have also set up a subscribe and save order for nappies with amazon as it gets us Pampers for the same price as Aldi/tesco nappies and although the supermarket ones are fine, Pampers are far better.
Only spends for the rest of the week should be postage for ebay. I will need petrol at some point but will try to avoid using the car this week so I can put that off as long as possible.0 -
Made about £40 on ebay this week after fees and postage. Not too bad.
Will be cancelling sky next month. Have made the decision based on what we're watching at the moment. While we do watch a lot of sport, there are ways to see it without a sky subscription. Would leave the broadband and line rental through sky as they are pretty much cheapest for here anyway.
Phone contract finishes on 10th March. Haven't had a retentions call so that will be it, PAYG here I come. Am quite looking forward to the freedom of that.
Did a bit of decluttering yesterday - put lots of old photos into scrapbooks and got rid of a load, which emptied half a drawer space.0 -
17 things listed on ebay. 2 have bids already. 3 surveys completed, screened out of another 5. I think I need 200 more points with GTM and about another £4 with VO. A £10 sainsbos voucher just arrived from VO, shall save that for the next time I need wipes etc. And also for sainsbos value t bags which are lovely.
Have got rid of some old sweets and jellies in the kitchen, making more space. Also used up all the naan bread and some packets.
Moneywise, just plodding on. 3 weeks til payday.0 -
NSD yesterday and today. Haven't left the house!
Have continued with the decluttering a bit - discussed with mum which books she want so there's a big bag I can take to the charity shop tomorrow. Also have got OH to agree he's getting rid of a lot of his books - he said he hasn't had time to read them, I reminded him most have been there for about 4 years - if he didn't make time in 4 years, he's not going to in the next 4 either.
Also got rid of more stuff in the kitchen, food wise. Some by eating chocolate, some by throwing old old Approved Food stuff.
So, not to bad a weekend overall.0 -
Finally got email from music magpie that my cds have been processed, only two rejected so that's £60 that should be in the bank soon. Half way through a zapper order of books and dvds. Books are split in 3 - mum, zapper and charity shop. Aiming to take one bag to the charity shop tomorrow.
Went to aldi today, got enough bits for the rest of the week.0 -
Musicmagpie money is now winging its way to my bank account, and made £60 on ebay today.
Had to get petrol earlier, half filled the tank so that's £30. Will see how long that lasts.
My new PAYG sim arrived today, so once vodafone switch me to PAYG (apparently my old sim will just stop working and I need to put the new one in when that happens) so then I will be able to swap to another network. Will need to buy new phone but old phone fetches £70ish on envirophone so that's pretty good. PAYG will cost £10 a month (in theory less while I'm on mat leave as I shouldn't need to top up every month, as can Imessage and whatsapp most people and use cloud wifi mostly when out and about.
Decluttering is going slowly.0 -
Miracle of miracles, everyone on ebay has paid! Everything can get posted monday. That's got to be a first.0

All ebay stuff posted. Phone contract cancelled. Gas/Electric bill received, £148 in credit and monthly payment down to £88 a month. Good stuff!0

You're doing brilliantly and another fan here of Sburys Basics tea bags!
Good to hear your experience of Music Magpie too - I've used Zapper once and need to get my backside in gear to run the leftovers through again.
Hope you get on ok with PAYG - I consciously try not to use my mobile unless I have to and have topped up £10 since the start of the year!
Well done :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

Have a look at https://www.houzz.com. There are a number of DIY projects and a number of projects done on a shoe string budget. They should help. The idea is to recycle to the extent possible, use long lasting but inexpensive material and be pleasing to the eye. If you are good at following instructions, this one is for you.0
