Sent one box to Zapper for £28 and another is half full and up to £18 so far. Big clear out of DVDs this week so should get a few more to put in there.
4 things finish on ebay tomorrow so hopefully will be posting on Monday. Also need to post phone to Mazuma (as have ended contract, got new (reconditioned) phone from smartphonestore - it's grade C but immaculate, not a scratch that I can see, paid £145, got £5 quidco and £70 for old phone through Mazuma so that works out it cost me £70).
Voda contract now ended, number moved to Orange. £10 credit, gives me 1gig internet, 400 texts and £10 credit so that's fine by me. I use the phone for texting and internet more than calls so it's ideal.
Today was going to be a NSD but I ordered a new kitchen bin from Asda for £5. Should be ready to pick up Monday.
Payday next friday. Work has upgraded our online systems so I can't access my wage slips which is bloody annoying. Have sent email requesting paper wage slips until they sort it out.0 -
Accessed wage slip - it's more than I thought, which is great.
Posted phone to mazuma, and waiting for Zapper to receive books and make payment.
Did go out for tea yesterday with friends so a bit spendy. Off to asda in a bit to pick up my bin!0 -
Might have spent £30 in Asda, but did get baby milk (65p cheaper than tesco, 24p cheaper than aldi) and a few reduced bits for the freezer.
Benefits of using local post office for ebaying, the postmaster gave a heads up on price changes coming in next month, so will have to look at my postage prices.
Waiting for one more person to pay for this month's ebaying.
Screened out on 3 surveys, completed 1, getting there slowly.0 -
Very impressed by Mazuma. Phone received this morning, money in my account already.
Zapper have also posted out cheque. Just placed another order for £30 of books/dvds. Those should be able to be posted on Monday (need another box).
Payday Friday. After this month I will have two less direct debits (gym and vodafone) going out, gas/electric is less and council tax should be less as the two extra payments (Feb and March) have been made. Need to bite the bullet and cancel sky (just keeping broadband and phone)0 -
Payday has been and gone, still waiting for cheque from Zapper, and for labels from them to post next lot of books.
This month will be spendy on home repairs but that is budgeted for.
Really craved a pizza tonight but was good and avoided a take away, using up some stirfry mix, soya chunks and rice that was in the cupboard instead. Just made treacle suet pudding as have a catering size pack of suet mix to use up, can't wait to eat it!
Moneywise, things will probably be tight this month but I'm doing ok with not using savings for day to day living where possible.
Debt is now sub 5k.0 -
Had a nice week. Working out finances for the next few months before I go back to work. Should be ok even with the work on the house.
Was paid £30 I was owed this week.
Spends have been on petrol and M6 Toll road (I love that road so much, I'm sure the hour it saves on the M6 more than covers the £5.50 cost). Need to nip to the shops to get some cash out to pay for the house stuff on Monday and to get nappies. Also starting baby on food this week (he's been wolfing down porridge like no one's business) so need to buy some veg!
Clearing the front room today. So far have listed a printer that's not working properly on facebook (if it doesn't go will tip/freecycle it). Got some more stuff for the ebay bag too.
Then going to browse the argos and dunhelm websites for a new rug and curtains for the front room.0 -
Made £30 on ebay today, another 14 things listed.
Some home repairs done, was looking at new furniture but instead decided to fix the stuff we do have and make better use of space. Am looking on ebay for local cheap bargains.
Cashed out £30 on gtm, waiting for that to hit my paypal. Also waiting for cheque from Zapper. They are very slow.0 -
Sold another BIN item on ebay, now waiting to see what the weekend bidding brings.
Had a cheap haircut - £10 from a mobile hairdresser.
Got a £5 voucher from Pampers as I complained because a nappy ripped. Also got some vouchers for free baby food from Hipp and Boots, and used a money off voucher for baby porridge.
Zapper have finally emailed to say cheque is on the way. 3 weeks to send it! Ridiculous. GTM payment hit my paypal though, that was quick.0 -
A few bids on ebay. Not too bad so far with 3 days to go. Lots of watchers.
Once baby is in bed this evening I will be sorting through the 3-6month clothes, as there are two big bin bags full (a combination of handmedowns, bundles I got on facebook, and gifts). Most of the baby clothes we have had so far have gone in the loft when too small (hopefully for the next baby, or at very least for the next friend to have a baby) but being realistic we don't need two big bin bags full of stuff. Therefore, I will sort through and sell anything that I don't think will be used.0 -
Have finally downgraded Sky - got rid of sports and HD, reducing the bill for TV/internet/phone to £50. Still high in a moneysaving debt free wannabe environment, but not too bad in my world. I know people say you can get lovefilm/netflix etc, but the stuff I watch isn't on those. I know I can still access sports through various means so it's not too bad for me.0
