  • 9/18 on NSDs and 11/18 on AFDs after quite a hectic weekend. Back into the swing of things now though. Payday Friday, and I'm hopeful that at the end of this month I'll be able to make another good payment onto the credit card, although it's all a bit complex as payments are coming out all over the place until I can move them back to one date AFTER payday - payday moved to a week later recently which mucked up all my carefully laid plans!
  • 9/19 on NSDs (needed petrol) and 12/18 on AFDs (very pleased!). Pay day tomorrow (hurrah) so will sit down and do a proper budget and see what payment dates I need to change. I'll go and do the gas/electric one now. I've already done sky/council tax so shouldn't be too many more.

Did I mention the pay rise? Yay! An extra £100 a month will get that credit card paid off a bit quicker, won't it!

This weekend I will be writing thank you cards for wedding gifts, finding stuff to ebay, and getting rid of stuff in the spare room (I'm so excited that the recycling bin has been emptied, can't wait to fill it again!)
  • 9/20 NSDs and 12/20 AFDs as I went to tesco on the way home (45p cheeseboard hurrah and £2 finest rump steak for the win) and am now enjoying a beer. No plans for the weekend as yet, and hopefully it will stay that way. Already done a load of washing tonight, so only one more to do tomorrow along with some handwashing. Lots of ironing though.
  • Well I think today will be a NSD as I'm not leaving the house!

Home insurance renewal came through today, so compared the meerkat and found it £80 cheaper, so phoned up to cancel. They said they couldn't match the quote I'd found - the daft thing was, the second cheapest quote was the same company I'm already with! Same level of cover and everything. Ah well, the first 4 cheapest quotes were all on quidco so at the end of next week - when it'll be 30 days before my cover expires - I'll buy whichever one works out best. I used to pay monthly but I've decided I'd rather just pay it out and therefore reduce the number of monthly direct debits.

10 things listed on ebay, doubt any of them will make much but it's free listing so nothing ventured and all that!

Bedding changed and in the wash, another load drying at the moment, I'm now going to research storage boxes on the M&S website as I've some vouchers for there. Have also been harassing OH to sort his side of the wardrobe and he says he might do it tomorrow. Might is a definite improvement to "yes at some point" so with a little more harassing I might get there!
  • So I think I can declare a NSD for today, which brings me to 10/21 on NSDs and 12/21 AFDs. Got lots of decluttering done which is fab.

The M&S website is rubbish, nothing useful there. Might pop into Wilkos on Monday to see what they've got. I basically want a box with a lid so that I can store some souvenirs and things in the loft and they'll keep dry and safe. It's mostly things like programmes from shows, things from our wedding, so I want them to stay in good condition but it's just not the sort of stuff I need out on a regular basis. We cleared the loft of the previous residents' belongings a few years ago, and at the moment the only thing we keep up there is Christmas decorations, so they'll be easily accessible but not in my way, as it were.
  • Now 11/22 NSDs and I think today will be 13/22 AFDs. Not bad! Have had an excellent day of decluttering thus far, including finding things in the wardrobe I never realised I still had (which means I don't need to buy any new jeans for a while!), another item listed on ebay, and boxes of stuff in the recycling or the bin. I really don't think I'm going to need any new clothes for a long time. Somebody remind me of that the next time I complain I've nothing to wear!

I've just remembered a few more things that I can put on ebay, but they're in the bottom of a drawer so will do them tomorrow. It's ironing night tonight, but first am making roast potatoes and bread sauce which is my absolute favourite and will be a well deserved treat tea. Also cooking some rice while I'm at it to go with leftovers from last night to take into work for both of us on monday.

I'm getting obsessed with seeing how much my things are selling for on ebay - it's sad how often a day I'm checking! Got bids on 4/11 things so far and watchers on 5/11 so not bad!

Have also put some stuff on freecycle so at least I'm starting to do my bit for society :A

13/24 NSDs and 14/24 AFDs so not too bad. Having a bit of a use up week for teas so everything's a bit mix and match.

Bids on a few things on ebay which is good. Need to get a box to package up some books to go to zapper - will have a look in tesco next time I'm in there for one of their spares.

Just listed something else on ebay, it's incredibly addictive checking it to see if anyone's bid! It's daft, but it's actually less about the money and more about getting rid of stuff - the money is just a bonus!

I need to get back into doing surveys. Haven't done any for ages but I get sent loads and I'm sure I'm up to about a fiver with VO again. I've been incredibly lazy recently.
  • 14/26 NSDs (over half, yay!) but still stuck on 14/26 AFDs (been naughty this week). I'm doing well with work lunches as well, have taken something in every day so far. Had a bit of a sort out of the freezer earlier so I think I'll be living on soup for the next month as there's loads of it!

Just sold something on BIN on ebay for a fiver, will get that packaged up tomorrow but I don't know if I'll get to the PO as work's mad busy at the moment. If not, will post it Saturday.
  • Ended up with 15/31 on NSDs and 16/31 AFDs for January which isn't too bad really. Just made £50 on ebay, just waiting for people to pay up as I'm itching to get them posted out! Not only will that clear the coffee table of stuff, but also will get rid of part of my collection of packaging materials.

No particular plans for the rest of the week, quiet weekend I think, although out for a meal on friday. We generally do chinese all you can eat, which is very reasonably priced.

Can't believe it's so cold at the moment. It's been trying to snow but we're not quite getting there. At least I didn't have to defrost the car this morning.
Had a busy weekend so am just trying to get all the washing done now - ironing during the football tomorrow. The best thing about January February time is the sheer amount of football to keep me entertained.

Got a gammon (yellow stickered, of course) in the slow cooker in some cider, smells lush. That'll do for tea and tomorrow's lunch for work. I'm doing well on work lunches, still taken my own in every day!
  • Spends today were ebay postage and filled up the car. And will have a spend tomorrow as someone else has just paid on ebay. And will be having a drink tonight for the football. So 0/1 all round. However, in better news there's money in my paypal account, quidco paid out £30 yesterday and it's 21 days til payday and all bills are paid.

After emmerdale I shall wash up as OH made a lovely tea, and then get settled for the football. Need to package up the things paid for today, (only awaiting two people to pay now). Getting there, slowly!
