I must still have Credit Bureau Data on mine, as I went in to my local branch today to pay in a wedge of notes. There was about 3-4 in front of me, all of them were coerced into discussions about account upgrades/reviews etc... one of them must have only been about 18-20... Got to me, took my money, put in my pin, and that was it. Jokingly I asked "No offers for me then?", and the reply was a curt "No... NEXT!!!!"

So I curtly replied back loudly "Thank God for that!!" as I walked away.... :D

I am a 99 Credit Policy Decline and have been since last year and I don't think its anything to do with Halifax as I have been 99 since before they merged. One advisor in the branch who has now left sadly and was very good told me that as I had adverse data when I opened the account the system will set you at 99 which will auto decline everything without using an external search, so overdrafts etc will auto decline, for example on the screen it shows me being offered a £1500 OD and offer credit card, but they can't as it will be automatically declined.

The 99 CPD is TOTALLY separate from the 1-9 score as the 99 is your EXTERNAL rather than INTERNAL. That said I was also told that after a year of having the account the 99 would be ignored and only based on my INTERNAL data (Score) with LTSB, but so far I have no evidence of that !.

I'm now 13 months in, and still have that damn marker on my account. Wanted to get a second account for bills etc the other day and went into branch as it wouldn't let me online. Was declined, and was offered a Cash account for the second one. Was advised against it as it would "wreck" my internal score, apparently.

I thought my score was wrecked already? Their solution? Get credit from them and manage it well. Nice thought, Einstein, but you won't let me have any to manage?!?!?

Christ I thought the guests on The Jeremy Kyle Show were thick, but......

  • Hi Simax.
I have recently opened an account with LTSB and after about a month, I went into the Branch and asked what my Risk Band was and they told me i was a 98, They told me to Manage my Account for 6 months etc... Think i will be in the same boat as you, Wish i didnt open the account now.

They just said that due to "External" data the system has generate the score.

When did a Credit Report on Myself, All that showed up was 2 late payment markers on my Contract Phone, Thats all.

They must be hard to get credit from.

Nevermind..... Hopefully there will be hope ...

What do you mean that all the credit report shows only 2 late payments - how many do you need to be considered safe to lend to?

Just had a thought.... would my "99 CPD" LTSB rating be down to the fact I'm not on the electoral register? Not been on it for 10 years or so, but it's not hindered me too much before...... ?? Clutching at straws.....

ive been a customer with llyods since feb 2010

i started with a under 18's account from feb untill my 18th in june when they let me upgrade too the " Silver Account"

then in august they let me upgrade again to the platinum account ( Silver card)

i upgraded again at the start of October 2010 to the Premier account with the black card

im only 18 years of age, and ive now got a overdraft of £500.

i put between £800 - £1400 in monthly, and the only other credit accounts i have is a littlewoods and a mobile phone contract.

seems wierd people get rejected for it, but i guess im gettin in good sted never going overdrawn, always having money in there etc
