I think it may well be down to the flash player since WMP works.

This looks promising, though it appears to have been written before Vista existed. There is also a debugging tool you might want to try.

Tanglefoot, had a look and gone through both things selected, no change, still no sound, thanks though it was worth trying

If you've tried all of those solutions and none of them worked, your copy of msacm32.drv may be corrupt. Which version of Vista do you have?

Just had another - probably useless - thought. Does the sound work on sites when you use IE?
