Does iplayer work?

I assume you have checked that the flash player sound isn't muted and the flash volume bar is up on youtube etc?

No sound on iplayer and yes volume slide up on you tube videos. An example site of what?? I have no sound on anything to do with the internet, I have tested the speakers and they are working and do work in Media Player. User error??

download firefox and see if that is ok, I don't use ie so can't help with it

I currently use Firefox, but tried IE to see if it had the same problem and it does!

Tanglefoot - I can't find the 'run' bit in my start menu, its different to XP as I use Vista, to see the date and version of Flash Player I have, although updated version earlier today.

Enigma52 - Thanks for that will have a read, I have searched many forums today for a solution, have tried a number of things but to no avail!

Thank for the help, don't really know my way around a computer but trying to solve this problem is certainly helping me!
