I have no sound....help please

Have you checked all the volume controls, or just the master volume? I'm on XP, so it might be slightly different but do you have a sound icon in the task bar beside the clock?

If so, right click open volume control. What controls are listed there? Click file, and advanced controls if it will let you.

Right clicking on volume control says Open volume mixer Playback devices Recording devices and sounds. I have been through the control panel and sounds and the speakers are turned up and says they are working correctly. When I hover over the speaker icon it says Realtek High Definition Audio volume 100. When I right click and then open the volume control it only gives me two options device and application volume no file to click?

Am i right in thinking, that I need to put in all the laptop details to search for driver update and then download?

If media player works, it's unlikely to be sound drivers. Try IE or a different website - are you talking about flash sound, ie youtube?

Tried IE earlier and still the same problem, yes it was a you tube video I tried to watch and updated Flash Player earlier and still no solution

put the url of the youtube clip, and I'll check it, have you considered the clip may not have sound?
