Just wanted to say hello again - especially after all the lovely welcomes I got yesterday! In fact I've been trying to say hello since 08:30 this morning, but my boss keeps finding work for me to do... I'm sure that's not right

I don't know how you all manage to reply to individual posts - the mind boggles!

Today for tea we're having DH's favourite spaghetti bolognese which I have duly bulked using red lentils (see I have been reading avidly!) and I will be making some brownies as the cake tin is looking decidedly bare! We're both off on annual leave next week as we're celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday. Nothing remotely OS or MS about that though as we're staying in the hotel we got married in for the night...!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

    xx

:hello: Hello again! Just looking in as I catch up on the threads while fighting off this yukky cold and cough!

It is very cold here so I had to turn on the heating for the first time today to warm up a bit! Brrrr!

Good news is that our dd (our youngest) has just got engaged to her lovely bf :jwe think the world of him so many celebrations here. That will be the 2nd family wedding here, ds and his lovely fiancee are getting married 1 week before Christmas! eeeek! I haven't even started on the Christmas preparations and can't really until the re decoration of our halls stairs and landing are finished - Chaos reigns here! :o:rotfl:

We went to a charity gala show on sunday which dd and her fiance had been working on along with a wonderful committee and £400,000 was raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer!!! we are so proud of them all!

Penny our pooch is still as crazy/lively as ever despite her being spayed finally! I though spaying would calm her down! She is still also very affectionate and cuddly so not complaining!

(((hugs))) to all who could use one

Off to find some more ways to save money as we now have 2 weddings to look forward to! :D

    Catz x

    Good afternoon,

I changed my summer duvet to the winter one this morning as I've woken in the night feeling cold the last two nights. George helped me unwrap the duvet before he went to school, bless him, and then I washed all the bedding and remade the bed.

I've just made cakes for George's school lunchbox, but made some for the freezer too. My friend made me lunch at her house which was very welcome. I'm not eating much, but at least I'm getting a bit of variety in my food. I managed to drop George off at school and speak sensibly with his teacher today.

    Take care all of you

    Afternoon all.

I've noted down the Barbecue Sauce recipe Bitsy gave a link for - d'ya think it'd work ok with nut loaf, or maybe Quorn fillets?

It's veggie bangers'n'mash for dins tonight, as per Mr LW's request. I've only got very small spuds, so he's offered to prepare them when he gets in, to save my poorly paws.:A Think I might chuck in some garlic to liven it up a bit.

I'm afraid I'm still pretty rough - I think this has now gone on long enough now to be officially called a flare - so am sitting down and going to try and get some cross stitch done. I'm fighting a losing battle against the spiders in any case.

I was tidying one of my workboxes yesterday, and came across some material from when I shortened the kitchen curtains to fit, so that's been pressed with the idea to make something out of it, as there's a reasonable amount, and it's brand new.

We have a backlog of taped TV programmes to watch, which is extremely unusual for us. Normally we struggle to find 2 programmes a week that we can be bothered with. Nine times out of ten I tape anything we want to see, so that we can fast forward through the adverts.

((((HUGS)))) to Cranky and anyone else who wants/needs one today.
