    Good morning everyone:wave:

Jayne and George :kisses3: for you both.

Well I'm cold so I've put the heating on for a while. Despite it being dry yesterday it was just too cold to dry my washing. I think that's it for outside drying this year.

    Jobs today

    Breadmaking
I shall a loaf of sour dough and possibly a batch of ordinary loaves as well. I love the sour dough but I don't think it is better than my ordinary loaf, just diffferent. We've just had bacon sandwiches on sour dough, and I think they would have been better with a more spongey, closer crumbed loaf.

    Laundry
Change dd's bed, or try to get her to do it (boys were changing their beds at her age).

    Breakfast was bacon sandwiches

Lunchboxes have ham sandwiches, flapjacks and fruit. Not sure what I shall have.

Supper will be a hash of the last Mexican chorizo, potato and butternut squash. May add a fried egg for those who fancy it. Plus ketchup of course.

Mr Beardy is still very :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: but I have been able to give him lots of info - his biggest thing is giong to be proving that he should get the CB because everything stems from that really - he will try to do that today. In the meantime I am looking for a nice cookery book for a man who's idea of cooking me a meal was one of those supermarket takeaway thingys that you stick in the oven - i thought maybe a student book or jamie oliver - reccomendations? bless him - he said he'd quite understand if it was all a bit much for me quite forgetting that I'm brilliant in a crisis so long as it's someone else's

dd(20) has her 22 week scan today - don't mind what it is really (girl! girl! girl! girl!) so long as all's well. she will pop into my w*rk with the news so fingers crossed.

blimey - just seen the time! have good days :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is doing ok this morning. My thoughts are with Jayne and George. Routine is very important to us so I quite understand why you want to keep it. Just to add to the "cake for breakfast" thread - i regularly have home made rice pudding, bread and butter pudding and blackberry crumble and custard for mine. I dont eat much for the rest of the day and often get an urge around 8am. I often used to make breakfast buns for my youngest two but not recently.

Not much OS for me today. I have two hospital appointments within an hour of each other but at two different hospitals but within the same city. Fun!!!! Im going to put yet another load of washing on and get organised for my home help.

Hope you having a good day,
    Love Molly
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

where's Diva this morning? - hope she's ok.

DG - hope the knee gets better soon and I'll keep my eye out on FB for your piccies.

Hilstep and Stef good luck for your DDs scans x

Cranky - cake for breakfast - great! nowt wrong with that in my book, when I worked in a bakery I had one every morning fresh from the oven - usually a hot custard tart!

Molly - hope your appointments go well x

I've just had breakfast of porridge and banana and later I'm off to work for 11 hours, am taking HM soup for lunch and salmon for tea.
Washing is out but its very damp here ATM, hopefully it should brighten up later and DH can fetch it in for me. I've also just done the ironing so am all upto date.

    Take care all x

    Morning peeps

cold here this morning again but very bright and sunny.

I slept on the sofa last night as i got home from w*rk very late and although DH waited up for me he would have had no sleep at all with me coughing and barking every few minutes. It is his birthday tomorrow and at the weekend he is looking forward to a fishing trip for a few days so i don`t want to pass the lurgy on and ruin his trip.

Still feel really evil but today is my day off so i can have a sleep this afternoon, i shall be out with the houndies shortly and then i need to pop out for pet food and some bits and bobs but not too much. I`m so glad that i made a pan of soup a couple of days ago as it`s saved me having to do any cooking whilst i feel bad. Absolutely no OS here today :o

Cranky - Still thinking of you and little George ((((HUGS))))

Donny - Hope that your knee is better soon.

Stefejb - Hope that MrBeardy gets things sorted quickly and easily, i`m sure that he will with your help.

    Have a good day everyone.

    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Morning all!

Sun is back again today, hooray as it's oil change day here, then my car will be all sorted out I hope!

Put a bacon joint and a gammon joint on to cook in the SC when I got home, house smells lovely now. Just need to do cauli cheese, never got round to it yesterday! Bought some more freezer bags so that I can sort out all the bargain veg I've got, will get the mandolin out and slice most of the peppers before they start to need moisturiser! Also will do some of the cauli and broc as florets for future use, then will see what I'm left with and what else needs freezing. Have a nice celeriac in the fridge, so might make up some slaw for my lunch with that, and have it with one of the french sticks I made last night.

My Hugh and Nigel books will be occupying quite a bit of my morning, they both look so good, and I enjoy their writing styles enormously. Had a nose at the books oh ordered, both are chef handbooks, the first one for one of his trainees is very simple and practical, and I think I'm going to order a copy for dd2 for Christmas, it shows exactly how to do basic things and gives lots of info and recipes (Practical Cookery), oh's got a new copy of the advanced version which does exactly what it says on the tin, so I shall be encouraging him to leave it at home so I can have a browse!

Jobs for today other than cooking will be to S&S the kitchen, take out all the recycling that has accumulated and deposit in the green bin or in my car for a trip to the tip, clean my bathroom floor (always ends up covered in hair from my girls for some reason, strange as they have their own bathroom!), check gas levels (LPG tank here, no mains!) and walk dog! Have just remembered friend is due round for coffee at some point too, so will need to find out when, he is also pals with oh, they play golf together, but I doubt oh will want his tips about the oil change, and my pal tends to come over all big brotherish when oh is around, mostly it's quite sweet and rather funny, but it can get a bit tiresome, think at my age and with 4 kids I can look after myself really!

Lunch for kids: hm french stick with cheese salad, satsuma/apple/plums, yoghurt and hobnobs.

Dinner for kids: bacon joint with cauli/broccoli cheese and mini roasties, will look in my new books for some pud inspiration. Just remembered that me and oh are having dinner with his mum tonight, kids have opted out as they have other stuff on - rugby training, important things to do (read that as playing on fb or watching telly or gossipping to friends) and homework (ds tells me he has done 2 of the missing pieces as I requested before leaving for work last night, dd1 is going to ask the teacher to call me if she doesn't receive them, hate chasing ds like this or getting dd to pass messages, but I really need ds to knuckle down to his work now).

Chorizo meatballs went down well, ds commented on the salt, but said it was quite nice, so perhaps a little less salt next time? Dropped a portion off to oh en route to work last night, together with lemon and cumin couscous and a french stick, so will wait for his verdict as well!

Time for a cuppa and catch up now, btw, welcome to all new posters, and lots of hugs to Clare, Jayne and George, Pam and Beth, have a good day everyone xx

    Edit:
Thrifty - it's no good putting warnings, I'm way too nosey to follow them! Book looks lovely, recipes sound really nice, have added it to my wish list and will poss get it when I've finished devouring these two! Just had another copy of Practical Cookery arrive, the Waterstones order I cancelled! Ah well, will do for dd2 and save me remembering to order it!)
Stef - blimey, that's a bit much just swanning off like that, what on earth was she thinking? Hope it all gets sorted out and Mr B's dd is okay and not in too much shock xx
Jayne - cakes are fine for breakfast, my lot will eat anything left in the fridge for breakfast, dd2 and ds were heating up pizza to take to the bus stop this morn! My ex SIL always has pudding after her brekkie too, she actually has a cupboard dedicated to chocolate and cakes, and a special shelf in the fridge for them too - my kids love visiting her!
