Now I didn't have any dry cider so I just used 3 tbs of balsamic vinegar instead and I don't like ginger so excluded that aswell. Can just say it still tasted fine and dandy to meI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Yes, the tandoori mix and balti mix are dry mixes and should be available in the big supermarkets, and any of the asian shops are sure to have them, about 60p a packet. It doesnt take long to make ,about 25 mins once the prep is done.

God Morning Chums , a bit of a chilly one here in North Kent even though the rain has stopped at last.No shopping needed today I picked up a few bits yesterday that I needed.I have a little bit of sewing to do and some knitting and this afternoon I will be making some sausage rolls for my DGS .He pops in on his way home everynight for five minutes and he has hollow legs bless him. He's great for polishing off left over cake he's like a tall skinny hoover. He works at Shepards Bush in West London, so has an hour and a half each way jouney from here.
he's hoping they will take him on as a permanant job at the moment it is only temporary for four weeks. So his favourite sausage rolls will go down a treat for him tonight, with a few fairy cakes thrown in for good measure.
Can't believe another week has almost flown by.I'm sure time seems to go quicker when you get older. Well time to get a move on .The wm is on and the bed has been made so its time to whizz the hoover round and a quick flick with the duster and I'm done.I was going to emulsion the porch but its a bit too damp at the moment so I will leave that for a sunnier day I think. Have a great day everyone what ever you do, and <<hugs>> to those who are down and blue or just feeling sad.
Cheers JackieO x0 -

Hello everyone:hello:
Thought I'd poke my head round the Old Style door and say hello.
It's all quiet in SnowyOwl's Ville - still no job despite applying for anything and everything. It's a bit of a nightmare as the bills just keep rolling in regardless. Otherwise nothing new or exciting to report.
I hope everyone is healthy and happy.

Morning all
Have had a busy morning sorting out work for DDs. They're looking at William Morris today and designing their own wallpaper. Should be fun
MSE discussion time has been taken over with benefit, benefit, benefits! So thought I would spend more time in OS - plus it might give me a few ideas for meals as I fancy cooking something completely new
I want to try screen printing with DDs and phoned up a place which quoted £20 to £30 per head, so will be looking on the net to see if we can find it cheaper or can make our own screensAnyone done it themselves at home before?
Apart from working at home, there's ironing that needs catching up on this afternoon as it's starting to resemble a tower
We're having HM meatballs later, so need to make a start on those too.
Busy! Busy! Busy!
Have a good day all. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -

.... his biggest thing is giong to be proving that he should get the CB because everything stems from that really - he will try to do that today.
Can he download the texts from his ex, & print them to be sent to CB?.... In the meantime I am looking for a nice cookery book for a man who's idea of cooking me a meal was one of those supermarket takeaway thingys that you stick in the oven - i thought maybe a student book or jamie oliver - reccomendations?
I would suggest either Jamie's "Cook with Jamie" or Delia's "Complete How To Cook"...or maybe Econ. Gastro.?
BTW, continuing the cake for brekkie thing...I often have Soreen malt loaf - does that count?!0
