Of course you if you have never had a COSTCO mince pie:A for breakfast. Then you have never had a breakfast.
(Sep is always a happy month for me- they go back on sale:j)Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

Uh oh, another mince pie addict. I've never had a costco one, but I could eat a mince pie any time of day, and probably any time of night too.0 -
Am off to bed now to dream of cakes, pies and muffins.
Night Jayne, Harribo, Stef and (as they say) anyone else who knows me:rotfl:Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

Aussie will be here soon. I bet she likes a couple of Anzacs in the morning.
Well the thing is, I always think cake is like a mini meal all in one. It has protein, carbohydrate, and if you shove a bit of fruit in it, there's all your daily requirements in one little parcel0 -

They are scrummy. Pastry on the bottom, a layer of mincemeat then sponge on top. All smothered in icing sugar:A
Night(mean it this time.!)

Cranky40 - you are so right - see when you think about it even chocolate, being mostly bean in origin, counts as a five a day and that belgian bun had at least five currants in it plus a cherry on topI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

It's going to be a long time before Paul's funeral, so if nobody minds or thinks me odd, I'd like to carry on the os, with probably the odd diversion into my currently chaotic personal life.
Jayne, when my friend & work colleague lost her husband she came into the office the following morning and continued to work up to and straight after the funeral. It was her way of coping and nobody thought bad of her. Just do what's right for you. I think you're wonderful! :A:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -
Well I've just logged in and had a very quick scan. Jayne I'm another one who is in awe of you. You must do whatever helps you through this awful time. I think what you're doing is perfectly normal, but then I'm rather odd, so who knows
:D:D
As for George, he sounds delightful so if he wants cake after breakfast, well who's to argue with Marie Antoinette? ( for the purists, I do know this is probably a misquote ) I'd bet anything that Paul is bursting with pride at you both:D
Now mince pies, that's another area. In my fridge is an opened jar of Duerr's extra special mincemeat. In my cupboards are another two jarsEvery tiny bit of surplus pastry in this house is transformed into a mince pie :T:D I adore them, and they are very suitable for any meal, any time of the day. Goodness, what can compete in terms of your five a day?????? Now Haribo and muffins
Been a bit taken up with my youngest DGS lately. He had some rather extensive and frightening seizures last week, which caused us all a great deal of worry. He's fine now, but by golly it was a horrible few days. So just want to send hugs to many, especially tired mum and family, so glad DS is getting the help he needs. Sunflower, so pleased to hear your news is encouraging :j Pam, hope the funeral went as well as these things can. It's very late and my poor brain has already gone to bed, so be assured I've celebrated with you, or felt sad for you. Must get to bed, I'm meeting ivyleaf for coffee/lunch tomorrow ( today ) :j:j:j
Night, night all, CM xxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
