It's not a non event at all.
You don't have kids do you?
Tell you what Dave, you go upto someone in the street and cut their hair, then see what happens to you.
It was not some ramdom hair cutting off attack in the street.
A toddler got some paint in her hair, and the nursery thought the best course of action was to trim away the effected bit, not child abuse or assult.
Perhaps misguided, but not a crime or an event that requires any further action.
Hopefully the courts will realise that this is a complete waste of their and the police's time and throw any case out.
How it can even have got to this stage is beyond me."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They didn't give her a nose job, they cut a bit of her hair, it grows back!

I can see where Dave is coming from. This is indeed not a nice thing what the nursery has done but for police to take it seriously and devote so much time to it.No wonder there are none around when serious crimes occur.
Exactly.
It's nonsense like all this and the "i want compensation!!" thing that is going to drive this once pround country into the ground..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

So you are saying that a nursery that lies to a parent about something they have done to a child, without the parents permission, is without a shadow of doubt, a safe, and well-managed establishment where you would be happy to place your own child,or recommend others do the same?
Dave could YOU answer that yourself.0 -

You people need to put this into context.
It's a trivial non event, perhaps slightly irritating, but no more than that.
It's a sad sign of the times that someone would even thing to contact a solicitor/plod/council/education authority/CIA over somthing as minor as this.
Let me ask you, do you think that the person who trimmed the toddler hair should be charged with child abuse and common assult, and that the nursery should be closed down and presumably the owners should be faced with some "compensation" claim?
And then ask yourself why everything in this country costs far more and is far harder to do than in other countrys not blighted with the our obsessive blame/compemsation culture?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

You did not reply to my question. As I thought.Typical WUM reply.
Love how you got the trolls favourite words "compensation culture" in though ,oh yes,and words child abuse thrown in for good measure. You must try harder Dave !!0 -

Cutting a persons hair without their permission is a criminal offence, it is indeed classed as an assault - FACT. As a child cannot give permission then it must be sought by either a parent or legal guardian.
I'm sorry but these are the simple facts of the issue and the OP is completely correct to be so concerned to contact the various authorities about this. Ultimately its up to the police and the CPS as to whether its worth persuing.
I just don't believe anyone who claims they have children and would be happy to put them into an establishment where this behaviour is accepted.0 -

The question again Dave.
