My boy is only 2.5 so I have a long way to go before he understands why I upset his daddy - Who is of course his hero! Typical, but quite right too I suppose!
My Ex is so much like his mother, drinker, liar, thief. Had a VERY different upbringing to me - ie Dragged up! I just hope that my little boy doesnt take the same path as him - thats what I fear most!
It seems like your kids have your strength - I hope that for my child too.
well you leaving your ex is the best chance your son is ever going to get munkiemunkie81. I'll bet he too will have your strength.Turn £100 into £10,000 in 2010 member # 247

Stop answering his texts. Keep the texts for the short while, then advised Ex that if they do not stop, you will seek a restraining order based on his haressment.
Your kids sound like stars. Based on my own experiences, one of the things they will always remember is the camraderie that engulfed you all and helped to carry you through this time.
Whether it is the shared meal-table, the genuine sharing of family life, the birthday treat sourced in a time of difficulty or the pride of handing over something towards the bills, they will learn more from these than all their Christmas present rolled into one.
Remember to let them know they are great. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Munkiemunkie81, you have a son that adores you, he just doesn't undestand that you are upset too because you have done what I did and hidden it from him.
cakeordeath, I am proud of my kids and I have always told them so, even more so lately.
RAS, I have ignored every single text today from him and guess what ...... he rang and I let it ring and ring. 4 times he tried i answered Im driving and hung up!!
Will tell him to stop texting or ringing otherwise I will take it further.SW -5, -1,0 -

Have just spent 2 hours cleaning out kitchen cupboards making lists of what we have food wise, plan to do a menu plan for when I am back at work next week and a strict shopping list (may even ask Mum to go for me with the cash) I'm a sucker for a reduced label or a bogof!!.SW -5, -1,0

Bloody bloke!!
Has text me 17 times today ignored everyone of them. He is talking about ending it again, so I texted his sister to asked her to get his Mum to ring him. SIL text back to say she had had a text from im along similar lines so she called him and he seemed really down. She texted her Mum whos reply was he dont want to talk, she asked her to go round his when he finished work but she said no.
I'm not going to let him get to me. It's DD 14th birthday tomorrow so I'm hoping he doesn't do anything stupid because that will just ruin her birthday.SW -5, -1,0 -
Is there no way of blocking people on mobiles like you can on facebook? I suppose there isn't, and it could cause more trouble than it's worth. A useful alternative would be a filtering system like I have on googlemail, lets me archive some messages without me ever seeing them ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

Hadn't thought of that will have a play with my mobile and see if I can.
Had the chimney swept this afternoon, which gives me piece of mind that I feel its safe to use now. Can't believe it will be 1st Nov on Sunday and we still haven't lit it or put on our heaters!!SW -5, -1,0 -

Or tell him if he does not stop you will block his number, then if he carries on, ring your mobile company and ask them to block his number as you are having "nuisance calls & texts".0
