Who decides what the 'good' and 'bad' bits are?
It's the concept itself that there are parts of our bodies that we should be ashamed of and hide that I have a problem with.
Not that I go out with bits 'hanging out', that would be social suicide.... But a feel it's more imposed on me by society's standards rather than my decision.
Shouldn't we criticise those who laugh at us if we don't wear clothes that hide what other people don't want to see, rather than those who are brave enough to dress as they wish?
It's very sad though when the criticism come from other fat women, and in a thread that's supposed to help us feel better by finding nicer clothes to wear!
If you decide not to wear a catsuit it's fine, but don't tell other people they should not either.0 -

I've found that with tops unless it's one of the longer length styles they tend to be quite short. (I am 6ft though, so that could just be me!!) Jeans are generally a generous fit but other trousers not so. I like their range, for the price range clothes are generally good quality.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 1026 - Proud to be dealing with my debtsDebt at LMB: £22500. I found this site that does bridesmaid dresses up to a size 28: http://www.bridesmaidsdirect.co.uk/default.asp They also have a wedding dress site where they do made-to-measure and don't charge extra for larger sizes: http://www.denisebyrd.com/default.asp
My sister found a site called Landy Bridal who are based in China, there's a long thread about them on the Weddings board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1230785 I think we'll be getting my bridesmaid dress from here as they have lots that I like, including ones with sleevesThey seem very reasonably priced aswell.

I'm glad that it's not just me. I've had some great trousers for work from Asda as they have occaisonally done a wide leg - which is my most difficult bit. However, I've tried on a few cardis and shrugs recently and they have been really tight on the arms - even the 24s.
That's the main thing I'm on the look out for at the moment, some nice jumpers and cardis for both work and casual wear. I'm around a size 24 and in previous years I've bought the standard v-necks from Evans but I've found they bobble very quickly. I also wasn't a fan of all their long chunky cardis with the fringes on them last year. Lovely long cardis but the fringe just wasn't too my taste. All the jumpers in Matalan and Yours have been a bit on the thin side and would look mis-shapen if you tried to layer with them. I'd even be happy with a nice tank top I could put over a blouse.
Perhaps I'm just being too picky. :rotfl:
Does anyone have any suggestions please?0 -

I bought that long cardy last year from Evans in the sale, and took the fringes off - much better ! lol0 -
Just a quick mention that the Dawn French https://www.sixteen-47.com (hope that's right!) sometimes have some nice unusual tops etc for special occasions but they are a bit costly!
I tend to get the large size clothes whenever and wherever I see them and I do trawl around the charity shops because sometimes they get the clothes for the gorgeous yet slightly rubinesque lady like what I am!!!!!May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -
Thank you Purple
I wrote about them a few posts back, as I had a very bad experience.
See posts 71, 72 and 93 (don't how how to do links to individual posts sorry).
Have you bought staff from them recently? How did you find them?0 -
