I love the look of Joe Browns stuff, but I think it is definitely aimed at the (ahem) 'younger' woman, hence the short skirts & cropped tops.

Yours do long ones, I've had a few that were over 39in. they haven't got any on sale right now though.

PS I WAS WRONG THEY HAVE THEM ON SALE, BUT NOT DISCOUNTED IN THE SALES

The maxi dresses at Next are pretty long (between 56 and 58 inches) but I haven't bought any skirts from there.

Everything I try skirt-wise hits me at mid calf - the widest and most unflattering place possible!

wanted to say thanks for this thread - my mum always asks for clothes for birthday/xmas etc and she's getting steadily bigger and bigger (26 at the last count) and it's been impossible to find things for her - (Yours are my new best friend thanks to this thread!) thanks again xx

Bon Marche do bras for bigger people - up to 44. Usually bras less than a tenner, both underwired and non underwired. Good when theres a sale on too, and loads prettier than Triumph Doreen.

Thanks for the Bon Marche tip. All my bras are Elomi at the moment, but I'll need some new ones soonish.

I bought some long tall sally items a few years ago and found the quality to be similar to evans, ok but not too great.
