  • Thanks for a wonderful thread. I have looked briefly in the past but today have studied at length. As a result I have found some sites I have never discovered before and will be returning regularly.

  • Just noticed that JDWilliams.co.uk and AmbroseWilson.com have a joint ad on TV for an up to 50% off sale. Anyone have any thoughts on their clothes?
I need some advice on updating my wardrode if someone could help me? Initally I need a top/jeans/cardi for casual/smart wear but I've been ill & now need most things. I'm between 22/24/26 on top and 20/22/24 short/med for trousers depending on sizing and don't like clingy clothes and thin materials that cling to cellutite and boobs and bums! Any time I get enough energy to go shopping all I can see are sleeveless tops that cling! Is it still possible to get tops with sleeves even if they just go to the elbow? Oh and I don't like white see-through tops. I prefer loose tops in slightly thicker materials and I like layers. I'd also like to get a new spring/summer cardi with pockets and jeans/trousers (short/med) that go up to the waist. Help! I have no clothes for summer and not much energy for too much shopping and from having no ideas I now have too many places to choose from in the 1st post! I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Joe Brown was mentioned before, looking at the Freemans website I've juste realised they have some JB stuff on sale (+20% discount given on the home page of the website).
Not much in plus sizes, but worth a look.

Simply Be do Joe Browns in larger sizes :j

My problem is that I'm tall (5'11) and big. I find it impossible to get clothes. Long Tall Sally is too expensive for me. I get the odd thing from Dorothy Perkins, and sometimes the larger sizes fit, sometimes they don't. Evans stopped doing their tall range. I need 36" trousers.

I can find long clothes, I can find large clothes - but finding them both is very hard.

    Anyone any ideas please?

    I'm 5'11 and size 24 - so i fell your pain.

The Littlewoods group (Very etc) do a tall range that goes up to a 24. Not much choice but thats where i get me work trews and jeans.

JD Willlams (Simply be, New Now) do trousers in a 35 or 36 inch leg -basic work trousers again.

Dresses / Skirts - Look at Yours and the measurments it doesn't say but some are really long.

My thing i can't find is vests that are long enough - ive got some wide strap ribbed ones but want a delicate thin strap vest for wearing under low cut tops.
I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler

i find asos good for length, and it tells you the height of the model too so it helps you think how long it will be on you

they are part of the same group as Simply Be, Marisota etc, but tend to be more expensive. They have similar stock except specific lines (e.g. very young, or more mature).
Littlewoods/imse etc are also have a good sale on, up to size 32, if you feel like a shopping spree... ;)
