Bought myself some new clothes (doesn't happen very often) from new look and they are awful! Nothing fancy, some gypsy tops and a pair of jeans. The cut on the gypsy tops is soooo not flattering, the body is cut quite narrow and the sleeves puff out something awful, think flamenco dancer on speed! The jeans are very cheap feeling and the sizing comes up very small, the jeans were half price but should have been £27.99. I've never had a problem with new look before but it has been a while since I shopped there.
A word of warning, if you do order from there, pay by bank card. I paid by paypal and am now faced with paying to return the clothes or returning to store and being forced to accept a gift voucher to the value fo the clothes. If I had paid by card I would have got a card refund. So disappointing
I had this problem last year with a mail order delivery from Daxon. If you return the full order you are entitled to a refund of postage. there is something on MSE about it. I had to contact them a couple of times but they know about it.0 -

OOO thanks, I will look into this. the cheapest way I've found to send it back is the Collect+ service that new look are trying to push, which will cost £3.99, if i can get this back then :money::money: thanks again x
eta: just looked on the New Look T&Cs
UK & Ireland Returns by Post
Alternatively you can return products by post to our fulfilment centre within 14 days of receipt for a refund only; unfortunately we cannot make exchanges. Please ensure that you also return the dispatch note for proof of purchase. Do ask for a receipt from the Post Office for proof of postage as we are unable to accept any claims for lost items without it. New Look does not cover the cost of returns by post.0 -

afak you are entitled to the cost of the original postage, but as long as they state that, they don't have to refund the return postage. New Look are not doing anything illegal, although most site I use do allow free returns.0 -
Hi all, new to the site and hoping some of you can help!!
I have been invited to an ultra posh wedding in 3 weeks time and need a dress. I spent 9 hours last night going from site to site with the help of this thread, pretty much everything I like is either out of stock in my size, too short, or too expensive!!
It's such a posh wedding that I'm quaking a bit, I don't do posh and haven't done dresses for years, let alone posh dresses, lol! I'm a jeans and t-shirt girl.
These are the ones I have found that I like - (argh, can't post with links
)
SimplyBe waterfall dress with silver chain straps - I've ordered this one, simply as it was so cheap and in my size (26)
Another that I like - Ann Harvey Teal Mesh dress (in the sale)
And the first pic with the dress/cardigan combo on this page - BonPrix formal page
With the first two I would have to buy a shrug to cover my arms, I like the look of these - Fatphrocks - "wingz" but not sure any of them would suit the colours of the dresses?!
Seriously need some help if anyone can give me their opinion I would be really grateful!!
If it helps, I'm 31, a size 26 (huge bust though (H), so I'm praying that size 26 will fit in that area!) fair, freckled skin, auburn hair, 5'6" tall.
Thank you!!0 -

I think I've just bought the same jeans! I tried on a few other pairs, but ditched them when I saw these (and didn't bother trying on as they were the same size) - got them home and I can barely do them up

Aha! this explains why when i bought a pair of jeans they didn't fit they are really flimsy fabric. Whats up with NL lately? Also bought t shirts in sz 24 as 22 were too small and I'm the same measurements as last year. Maybe they have new suppliers?
Also, has anyone else noticed that sooooo many retailers are having permanent online 'sales' at the mo, but have really naff stuff they can't shift. I love shopping but am really fed up with what's available. Ooops sorry for the rant :embarasse0
