Oh I can't tell you ladies how much I thank you all for your thought and suggestions, since stopping smoking last year I have put on 3 stone and still cant stop eating. I had no idea where to get ideas for new clothes from. My wardrobe was desperate.

I really dont like Evans, I have just spent £200 on a few things from Yours, but worried now that the quality is not good!

Everyone, go through Quidco for 12% off ..................and cashback 7%!

i dont really like evans either - the quality can be very variable and i think they're expensive, also some of their fit can be a bit off iykwim.

i was so pleased when i found out (from here!) that next do bigger sizes; they're cheaper than evens, better quality and their stuff fits me better.

I've decided that I'm definitely going to send for some maxi dresses to try. I've already got a couple of shrugs, so I'll see if I can find dresses to match up with those. I actually bought a couple of Indian cotton, tie-dye dresses whilst on holiday last year, which I felt good in but when I returned home, I remembered that my mum used to soak things in salt water to stop the dyes from running. I put them both to soak and the dyes ran into each other and they are ruined.

Oh well, I told my poor husband I wouldn't be buying any more new clothes for this holiday. I think I was lying!:rotfl:
Did you keep the dresses, if so would it be worth getting 1 of those machine dye colours, they are a few pound but really easy to do. Can't think where you get them I always bought mine in Woolies so that's obviously a wee while ago.
I do like the white outfit, look's very glam & really suit's you.
    Booo!!!

Dylon machine dyes are a cinch to use. They sell them at The Range if you have a branch nearby, or I have bought them by mail order form Chaffinch.

    I'm so disappointed :(

Bought myself some new clothes (doesn't happen very often) from new look and they are awful! Nothing fancy, some gypsy tops and a pair of jeans. The cut on the gypsy tops is soooo not flattering, the body is cut quite narrow and the sleeves puff out something awful, think flamenco dancer on speed! The jeans are very cheap feeling and the sizing comes up very small, the jeans were half price but should have been £27.99. I've never had a problem with new look before but it has been a while since I shopped there.

A word of warning, if you do order from there, pay by bank card. I paid by paypal and am now faced with paying to return the clothes or returning to store and being forced to accept a gift voucher to the value fo the clothes. If I had paid by card I would have got a card refund. So disappointing :(

    WHAT A RIP OFF!
hardly any stores charge you for returns nowadays. Yours do, but their prices are so low that you can see why they don't provide any frills.
When I read their t&c just now, I didn't notice the bit about paypal, I could have been fooled too.

Now, why didn't I think of that? Yes, I've still got the dresses. One was lovely shades of blues and purples, the other more of Autumnal shades. After their salt water soak, the colours went really faded, drab and sludgy looking. I wish I had had the sense to soak them separately.:(

It's an idea definitely worth trying as I don't think I could make them worse than they are now and I would love to be able to wear them again. I've look at the dyes on both those sites but I'm sure I've seen them either in Morrisons, or one of our local shops, so will look there before sending away for any.

Once again, thank you to you lovely ladies.:A

It's my own fault for naively thinking that paypal returns would be treated in the same way as normal refunds, so annoyed with myself.

I'm veering towards paying a fiver to return the clothes and going somewhere else, I don't know what I'd spend £50 on there now the clothes aren't as good. I've just looked and it can take upto 30 days to refund the money

If you need me, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place x

I was going to suggest dying them too. My mum once accidentally ruined a skirt of mine & after trying-unsuccessfully-using vanish to get the mark out, I thought about dying it. It was sooo easy to do and I now have a pile of clothes ready to be 'refreshed' with some dye. I bought mine in The Range (£5 I think it costs for the machine one) but there are some on eBay & I've seen some in charity shops too.
