Are you all still out hunting bargains? I went to the early car boot for a change and glad I did - the sun was glorious this morning but it's overcast and cold now. Managed to grab:

Vintage Charlotte Halston polka dot button through dress, 50p. Love the shape of this but must hem it as it's a very unflattering length!

New Look swallow print dress, 50p. Has the exact same print as this: http://www.newlook.com/browse/productDetail.jsp?icCategory=cat10019&icProduct=190447949 but is a button through shirt shape. Very pleased with this as I'm sure it's current stock!

Rocha John Rocha tan leather satchel, £2

St Michael butterfly and floral printed bowl, 50p

Vintage silver dressing table hair brush with gorgeous butterfly print on back, 50p

    Cath Kidston wash bag, 20p

  • Went to a few car boots today, I managed to get a lovely blue silk dress for £3 which will be perfect for a wedding I'm going to next month.
I also encountered a couple of rude sellers which really annoyed me!

Yes, I came across a few too. And one lovely girl, about 19, who had a table absolutely PILED with clothes. She'd made no effort to display them or price them up, but was asking £10 a dress! I think if sellers want those kind of prices they should be on eBay, not at car boots.

I also came across a gorgeous Canon DSLR... for £400! Who has that kinda cash at a car boot?! Suck it up and pay the eBay fees!

I got a pair of "irregular choice" shoes from the car boot, I'd never heard of the brand (thought it might be Primark!) so I haggled the woman down to £2 ... didnt realize they were so expensive, mine are black flats with a strap and a bow and a really cute cut out sole shape ...

I had a fab day yesterday, didn't think I'd be able to go as my partner in crime who always takes me was on holiday, but DH offered to take me instead, and even entertained at least 1 of our 2 toddlers some of the time. We went to two car boots, both enormous and we arrived later than I would normally, but I still managed to get a few bits:

Baby Born suitcase with various outfits £1
    Bag full of 30+ doll's outfits £2
Next white leather sandals, like new in DDs size £1
Lots of little girls clothes - Next, Oilily, Polly Flinders, Monsoon - in DDs size, 50p each. Really pleased as I was looking at some of last summer's Next stuff on eBay, then found exactly the same things for 50p! (and no P+P :D)
Assorted dolls/teddies that the little one's spent their 'pocket money' on :silenced:
Fisher Price Little People pink bus and some other LP bits we didn't have

And as usual, nothing for me! Had a lovely day though, we were out from 8.45 til 3, it was hot and sunny (22 degrees!) and everyone behaved too. Might be able to go again next week as well as I'm looking for a bike/trike for DD2 :search:
