Best Car Boot, Charity Shop and Jumble Sale Bargains - New Thread 4/10/09

I know, great buy wasn't it - in the box too. If it was my sort of thing I would keep it but I also got a really lovely River Island one for 50p which is much more "me". She will love it though, she's always wanted a Radley bag so I'm forever on the look-out for her wherever I go.
Looking forward to this weekend as there were loads of stalls now the weather is behaving.

Apparently Sunday is supposed to be the hottest day yet! Really looking forward to the weekend as my car boot got cancelled today.

Did pop into local charity shops, not a lot there, but picked up a topshop vest top which is still in the shops for £1.00.

I saw the number 7 pedicure set in a chazza shop for £2.50 today. Still sealed. Didn't buy it though as I have too much stuff already!

well did the chazzas in town for the first time in absolutely ages. Managed to find a few bits. A Ness cross body purse bag for £2.50, a tweed flat cap for my DD for £1 with labels still on, a River Island floral dress for £2.50 but it's too tight on the arms for me so i will ebay it, a pair of BNWT Boden nautical inspired ballet pumps for £3 and a floral scarf for a £1. I may have to go back as there was a vintage lambswool jumper with animals on the front, very geek chic like the ones in Urban Outfitters for £3 but I resisted...but not for long!!!:D

Whoop-di-doo :j Had a fabby week in the chazza shops!


* BNWT long M & S navy raincoat £12...just my kinda thing!

* Navy linen jacket from Next, £4, perfect for summer, looked very crumpled but I knew a steam iron and a bit of effort would sort it!

* Was just taking a short cut thro M & S when they put out one of their end of sale, sale rails...grabbed a pair of smart black trousers with a price tag of £35 for £3. Being 'extra long length' I had to lop off about 3" but me and my trusty old sewing machine soon had that sorted!

* Today, M & S BNWT bodyshaper swimsuit, £2.35, original price £29!

* Elbeo Caresse posh tights 25p, with price tag of £2.75!

Thanks to everyone who suggested boot sales for the weekend.
We have decided to head to Cheddar for the boot sale on Sunday morning and then hit the beach on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully will be able to tell you all about my bargains on Monday

Jesarose - I'm sooooooo jealous of your Radley purse, I saw a Radley bag at a boot sale last summer, the seller wanted £25 but I didn't buy it and I so wish I had, it was lovely.

I can't believe the bargains everyone manages to get, well done.
I went to a jumble sale on my lunch hour today and managed to get a really nice Next Casual jacket for £1 also a grey marble cheese slicer for 50p (originally wanted £1.50 but went for something to eat and when i went back they were starting to pack up and the girl offered it to me for 50p.
My mum got a lovely mens scarf from M&S with tags on for 50p and new with tags oven gloves 50p, new with tags slippers £1.
Going to do a car boot sale tomorrow (luckily indoors as weather in scotland not too good).
