Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker and was looking forward to being able to add my own bargains after our local boot sale started yesterday.

But went yesterday and I was so disapointed , I think the organisers have changed because it is usually well organised and brilliant but it was chaos and full of traders :(. Hopefully it was just first day teething troubles and will be back to been brilliant soon.

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with some boot sale reccomendations.

It's my birthday next Sunday and my lovely husband has offered to take me for a weekend away to find my boot sale fix, probably going to go either Bristol area or Midlands but don't have a clue where the best booties are, can anybody reccommend any big boot sales for either Saturday 24th or Sunday 25th?

    Thanks in advance :)

Went to our local car boot at the racecourse on Sunday...got a lovely huge mirror with a distressed pewter-type of frame for £3. Regretted it when trudging back to the car with it right at the back of the car park! Got a couple of nice pottery jugs when rummaging through a sellers 50p boxes.

Strangest thing there was a large illuminated china cabinet sort of thing full of dusty, moth-eaten, stuffed birds.....yukky yuk yuk!!! :(

First CBS visit of the year yesterday - gorgeous sunshine, very busy, but ultimately disappointing. :( Went specifically to buy some plants off a trader who is normally a regular feature but he wasn't there :( There were other people selling plants but they were mostly half dead (the plants, not the people....:rotfl:).

    Did get a
Roald Dahl book for DS - 10p
PS2 Lara Croft Tomb Raider Game - £1

Plus.... some "first edition" collected works of Shakespeare (2 volumes) and A History of Mathematics by Dirk J Struik - all for £12 & all hardbacks. I dont know if they really are first editions or not, the title pages seem to indicate so but they are just lovely things to have, I love books and I'm studying Shakespeare at OU at the moment so have an interest. They seller wasn't a book seller so I dont think I've been ripped off - anyone know how I can find out if they're genuine?
    £2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
    £2 Savers Club 2015 #8 £250£200 :j
