I've been buying up bits and pieces over the last few weeks (mainly clothes to see me through to my next stage of weight loss)
I did however, pick up this yesterday:
I paid £2 for it and the original artists price tag is on the back (£55 ). I think it's quite a recent picture as it's in pristine condition, the frame has a 'weathered' effect and the glass is lovely and clean with no scratches. It goes very well in my newly decorated bathroom and seeing as we live right by the sea, it's very apt. I love it ! If only all my buys were as good as this one, then I'd be laughing !
Goan, I love the goatskin bag. I think I'm going to start rummaging in the house clearance booters boxes (something which I don't usually do).:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

jtb - what a perfect picture for someone who lives in the coast. Great find.
I find the best stuff by rummaging. I take a bin bag with me so's I can get on my hands and knees and dig deep!0 -
Morning all
Went to a family Christening at the weekend so got to experience another towns charity shops (Is it wrong that I was more excited to know I’d be on a new charity shop adventure, rather than excited about the Christening when we received the invitation!?!)
I was in my element – there was a high street full of them, they were very reasonably priced too (compared to my regular London chains!)
• I bagged a black suede over-sized fringe bag that looked hardly used (I didn’t realise until I got it home it was actually from warehouse) £2.50
• Dummies guide to “planning your wedding” book (perhaps bought this premature as I’m still waiting for the engagement ring!!) But I know the “Dummies Guide” books are quite expensive new, and it only cost me 50p…might come in handy one day huh!?
• Talking of my OH, he bought a framed glossy picture of Yoda from Star Wars signed “Frank Oz” for £10… we are not sure if it is genuine but for a tenner my boyfriend was extremely pleased with his purchase!
• I also picked up a Mango clutch bag in my favourite nudey/coral orange shade for £2.00
• Nautical silk scarf £1.00
• Vintage Sindy Doll for my mum who collects them £5.00, it came with the box too which admittedly had seen better days.
• Another medium sized shabby chic gold rococo style wall mirror £5.00
• & finally, a large plush doll approx 60cm tall of Puss-In-Boots from Shrek clutching his hat and looking all dough eyed (like the pic below) …I had to get it didn’t I!? 50p
I’m going to pop to the charity shop near work on my lunch break… hope to find some more bargains! I love the excitement of never knowing what gems awaits you…!0 -

That's amazing! Well done you! And you're not cheating - this thread is for second hand bargains, wherever they may come from!
Today I picked up a 100% wool Hobbs skirt - it's absolutely gorgeous in a delightful red, white and blue check, but unfortunately too big for me. So it's on eBay waiting for a new home!0 -
All I got yesterday at the local CS was a DVD of one of my old favourite movies "Empire Records" for £1. But off to take DD to the orthodontist tomorrow so will have a quick look round the CS's with her before we return to school!! She is a me in the training and loves a good rummage herself.
Lately she has got a Karen Millen fringed mini, some amazing oddball hats for her collection, a ditsy BNWT Primark miniskirt, a couple of bags and some jewellery all to add to her huge pile of clothing!!Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
Hey folks!
I haven't posted on this thread for ages, but I have been lurking, keeping an eye on all your chazzalicious bargains. Just wondering if anyone knew of any good car boot sales/ charity shop hotspots in the Leeds area? I've just recently moved here to work for a few months, but know nothing about the area (or this part of the world more generally, but plan to do some exploring!), and as I don't know anyone here either, I'll have to keep myself occupied seeking out vintage tat. If anyone knows the area, any advice'd be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jon0
