Does anyone know of any car boots this weekend apart from Dewsbury Rams in west/south yorkshire please. I am wanting to sell some new stuff, but Dewsbury Rams licence does not allow for anyone to sell anything new.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Have you visited this website?
    http://www.carbootjunction.co.uk/car-boot-by-county.php

My visit to the Salvation Army today resulted in:

    Purple 1980's suede courts
Miss Holmes Suede shoes with gold heels
Green suede heeled pumps with gold chain detail
    Vintage white angora Kangol beret
    Black faux fur hat
    Yellow leather shoulder bag
    Purple clutch bag
Vintage "deadstock" black satin panty girdle

    Total cost: £5.40

No jumbles listed for tomorrow/ this evening and if the weather continues like it has been all day the boot sale looks a bit dodgy.

Hi Goanmad, You always have such wonderful finds from a seemingly constant stream of jumblies/bootys, I was wondering how far you travel to go to these (thinking of broadening my horizons) or how far anyone else travels.

I don't drive so I'm limited to where I can go by where the bus/train goes. I'd be willing to travel a long way on the bus as I have a weekly pass but theres some places you just can't get to.
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

I visited my favourite charity shop on Tues and picked up:

Pink vintage floral bone china tea set - £3.49 (think I'm obsessed with tea sets! This one's very Cath Kidston)
    Frank Usher heavily sequinned/beaded top - £4
    Floral chiffon shirt - £3
Brand new polka dot peep toe heels - £3

There's vintage fair at my local hospice over the weekend, so looking forward to that!

I'd never heard of this brand until I visited a vintage shop in Sheffield and saw a pair! I had to take a picture on my phone and send it to my family - Holmes is our surname, making me Miss Holmes! These shoes were literally made for me! :rotfl:

Fancy that! They are quite a posh label, my Grandma used to love them.

Jasmineswhiskers - At the weekend if there's no local jumbles or car boots BF and I pick a town within a half-hour drive (checking out the Association of charity Shop's website as a reference point). My best chazzing pal is a teacher so during her school holidays we go further afield choosing a handful of towns in a different county.

Today I went to the most amazing vintage fair in aid of St Gemma's Hospice. Throughout the year they hold on to vintage donations and then sell them (obviously at higher prices) at this event. If anyone's interested, it's also on tomorrow - 10am - 1pm at St Gemma's Hospice (the actual hospice, not the charity shop) in Moortown, Leeds. I got there at 12 today and was told they'd already had thousands through the doors. I just missed out on a dressmakers dummy (gutted!) but did pick up:

3 pure silk scarves in various prints, £1 each
    Long string of pearls, £3
    Short pink pearl necklace, £2

The girl in front of me bought 30 (!!!) silk scarves and 20 (!!!) vintage coat hangers at a cost of £50. She must've been a seller... but something about the greedy, manic look in her eyes told me it was all for her wardrobe! Yikes!
