Big love to your and your daughter, Essexgal from me too. hope you're out and about again soon.

And I love those boots Mariel.

I got out to a new town today and of course did the CS's. A couple of really good shops actually. Managed to get a Stitch embroidery magazine, 2 vintage dressmaking patterns for 50's dresses, 2 saleable CD's and best of all a vintage suitcase for just £5.00. I love these for storing stuff in and have been looking for ages for affordable ones.

I've been lurking on this thread for a while now but haven't posted before as I haven't found any bargains for ages now :o I think it's because so many people are looking in the CSs now and bagging the bargains before I get the chance, or possibly because anything good tends to be so expensive now!

However I am going to reflect on the bargains I have had in the past :D

Black Lipsy dress with pink polka dots - £12
Black platform Kickers trainers - £5
    New Look Betty Boop t-shirt - £2
Topshop tartan mini skirt - £3
Japanese black coat with detachable faux fur collar - £7 (loved this as it fit me like a glove and has become my regular coat)
Karen Millen red corset - £4
Knee length white sheepskin coat, trimmed and lined with white faux fur - £15

First started CS shopping seriously at college when someone used to donate loads of brand new tagged clothes in my size... often black lacey corsets which was very much my thing at the time :)

    Good finds Fuzzy Duck!

I didn't have much luck today, I did get in just after opening so perhaps they hadn't put any new donations out on the rails yet?! Donated a bag though so it wasn't a complete waste of a journey...!

...Wonder if i'll find a pair of V Festival camping tickets for £3 in the CS tomorrow!?! Teehee!...Tickets go on sale at 9am but I'm in two minds whenever to bother this year, recently it's been more of a fashion show than a music festival!

Anyway, more CS-ing over the weekend so fingers cross i'll get some good bargains! After a pair of leather vintage style slouch boots, but the shops are full of summer sandals and flip flops (...despite it still being freezing here!) Fingers crossed for my weekend charity shopping adventures!

I'm doing the Green Man instead of V this year. So far I'm booked for 5 festivals (that's why I only wear second-hand clothes). I've been going to V for years and it's progressively got worse and worse by the year. Some great acts but sadly not a festival atmosphere. It's nowt more than a chav fest in my humble opinion.

    Today's chazza shop finds:
Vintage "Ackery of London" black patent handbag £3
    1970's Green turban 95p
2 x Duggie mod scarves in paisley silk with a wool backing 65p each
H&M teal kaftan style mini dress £2.20

    Today's market buys:
Black 1970's maxi with psychedelic print trim
Faux Chanel cardi in orange animal print
Black laser cut leggings (TopShop samples)
Black fitted jacket with tie neck
Navy and white jacket with a bustle
Black and white tweed shoulder cape
    Customised denim trucker jacket
    Total: £10

Today buy caught my eye straight away, a bright yellow scarf with white spotted pattern, £1.29,then I noticed it was silk and only after I picked it up I noticed the Christian Dior pattern - don't know if its authentic but such a bright and happy colour for the spring I had to buy it:D
  • I just got a standard Remoska cooker in my local chazza - £7.50 when the current price is £99.99 plus postage (they're only available from Lakeland and they don't have a shop in N Ireland... which makes it even more of a find!)

Hello all  I thought I would pop in becasue ive been having withdrawral symptoms of not getting a real bargain for a while at charity shops and no car boots near me recently :(
Ive had to pop in thow to share with you how excited I am about a bargain I have just got dd this morning from the local table top fair and Im really pleased . I bought her a play house for the garden which she loves for only £3 quid { as I haggled the lady down from £5.00 } , its one of the plastic ones with windows in like this one but without the kitchen I was hopefully going to bid and win on this week, towards her birthday presents

    Along with getting her
matalan pjamas that are lovely for £1
x2 Fisher Price snap and style dolls and outfits £1
    Mosaic creating set 50p
In the Night Garden hide & seek game 50p
    Natural modelling sticks 50p

All brand new and are going towards her birthday presents :D

The last couple of weeks ive bought from charity shops

Childrens new with tags Charlie & Lola top £1
    Childrens Nike T shirt £1
x4 Dora the explorer dvds £ 3 the lot

I love one of the charity shops near me now as everything is only a pound , but as you can guess unless you visit regulary when people have donated things , they go straight away so I try and pop in a couple of mornings a week when ive dropped dd off at nursery :)
