    Great finds there, girls!
Jesa - I've got a couple of Cresta dresses, fab quality aren't they?

GrammarGirl - Nice to have you back.

Hi Goan - yes its lovely quality, really thick black floral material. I hope it fits me. Its a bit long so I might have to chop the bottom off which seems a shame but I am sure I can make something nice out of the bottom part
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

Don't worry, I'm always chopping up vintage stuff. It's great to revamp it and make it more wearable.

No boot sales here just torrential rain :(
  • Did my first ever CB sale today as a seller and made the princely sum of £23.

The hall was freezing and there were some rude people - one woman asked if I'd watered down a hair conditioner I was selling as it didn't look as thick as when she buys it from Boots.

Pointed out it was three-quarters full, so if I was going to water it down, I would have done it to the top..it's 50p man, howay.

Did pick up a first edition of an MJ album for £1 which is going on eBay for £20.

    Hi all

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Did a bit of Charity Shopping on Friday on my day off, ventured to a different area - CS's were quite pricey - especially Cancer Research who were asking £20 for a pair of worn Dorothy Perkins heels...I don't even think they cost that new!

Anyway, still managed to pick up a lovely drinking glass with flock gold damask on the outside which came boxed. (...sounds crazy - how practical is flocking on a drinking cup!?!) but it looks lovely in my bedroom as my new make up brush holder, and the box was worth more than the total £1.80 anyway!

I also bought Sooty, Sweep & Sue glove puppets, in lovely condition... only 20p each (Don't ask - Sooty was my favourite when I was a child so I had to get them!! :) )

Picked up 2 T M Lewin shirts for the OH for work; they were £4.00 each - they wash up well so a bargain for £8!

Also bought myself a white & cream beaded clutch bag from Banardo's for £3.00 - it is beautiful, and goes well with an outfit I've dug out for a Christening I'm off too later in the month.

The smile of the day came from a risk I took with an xBox 360 Fifa game for £2.00 in the BHF, I took it next door to the CEX exchange shop and got £6 on their shop card which i'll save towards the OH birthday pressies next month!
  • Went charity shopping in my parent's small market town this weekend. Got a nice black and white tweed virgin wool jacket by Windsmoor, £9.99. Lovely for spring, and a pair of black leather shoes by TLC hardley worn £5.00.

    Hello! *waves*

It seems like ages since I was on this thread, I seem to spend all my time on the fashion chat thread these days!

A few things I've bought in the last few weeks -
charcoal wool three quarter fitted coat - £3.25, not terribly exciting but it filled a gap for an everyday coat that goes with everything
Debenhams real leather across body bag with plaited strap £7.50
black cotton skirt with ruched up hem - £1
You Are What you Eat cookbook - in bin at CS as too tatty to sell, fine for me though! Typically I'm way behind everyone else and have only just discovered the programme.
meduim sized red/orange glass vase, a really pretty shape and will work as a vase or to put a tea light in - in bin at CS due to a tiny (smooth) chip on the rim
Emily the Strange hoody for daughter - £1
2 Beatles singles - 50p each, I'm slowly collecting all their stuff on vinyl
and the best bargain of all - pewter Clarks Victorian style boots £6.95 very little worn- on my blog if you'd like a peep!

    Boot sale season soon!

The mornings are becoming lighter and it is nearly March!!

Can anyone tell me when the Swalwell Rugby Club Boot Sale opens again? Also, I've seen a monthly Car Boot Sale advertised in Gosforth (St Oswald's), does anyone know if this will be operating this year and when?

Thanks everyone and have a good season.

    Bump!

    ...........anyone in the NE know?
