Aye I drive past there on my way home from work, tonight I noticed there's a sign on the fence advertising it so I'm happy again as I'm not at work til 2 that day :D
    ?????????????

I was talking about a jumble sale in a local church :) I've mentioned it in previous posts in this thread, sorry if I was confusing!

Lola yeah, it's the one just next to where Cineworld and Pizza Hut/McDonalds/Subway etc are in Boro if anyone is interested :)

Where can I find out about Jumble sale in Lincolnshire area? I've searched the net but hardly any are listed and the ones that are have passed. Does anyone know of any?

goanmad love your blog,I am so envious of all your finds, I know you put a lot of time in, are you someone who can scan a rail & the good stuff jumps out at you, or are you rummaging with the rest of us? I always think yeah I can make something out of that curtain, quilt cover etc, then 5 years down the line take it back to a CS when I remember that I'm carp.
Keep up the good work everyone I love to read about it all.

Welcome to the thread! Thanks so much for taking the time to read the blog, too.
I love a good rummage but I do have a keen eye so when I enter a charity shop I tend to stand back for a minute or so, scan the racks and head towards a vibrant colour or print.
With a jumble sale it's just pot luck, I grab anything that looks pretty and don't bother examining it until I get home. Sometimes there's a hole or a sleeve missing but at 20p it's not a huge blow and after all, the money is going to a good cause!
I must admit to buying things with potential, putting them in my fabric chest and then re-discovering them a year later. :o

Today's find was the most spectacular pair of sunglasses I spotted in the display case in a local charity shop. When I examined them I saw that they were vintage Ted Lapidus and marked up at £3.95. On paying the manager mentioned that he had an identical pair in the back and that I could have them FOR FREE as they were a bit "mad" and that I am probably the only person in the town who'd wear them. :j
I've looked them up on the internet and Nicole Ritchie owns an almost identical pair. The repro's are retailing at £140 and there's a scatched pair on eBay for £79.99.

I've popped a photo on the blog!

Wow Goan, some great finds ! Love the wool suits - if anyone can pull them off, then it's you and you look fantastic ! I'm soooooo jealous of your style and ability to wear anything vintage. You're so lucky !

Fab find with the sunglasses too. Someone is smiling on you today :D

Looking forward to hearing about your finds mavvysmum.

    Hello hermum :)

Right, really must get on with dinner, been saying that for the last 1/2 hour then keep getting distracted by blogs/MSE :p

  • Well I have returned, went in 8 charity shops and knackered now! Got five paperbacks from some of my favourite authors - Jodi Piccoult, Jean Plaidy, Sophie Hannah,Harlan Coben and Ian McEwan, a smart black bag (not a bargain at £5.85 - wasnt leather but was in good nick and what i was looking for so oh well) a pretty flowery top & skirt for the summer, a haynes manual that will go well on ebay for £1 and white oleander on dvd (read the book ages ago and thought it was good, been looking out for the dvd) but my bargain find of the day was..... *drum roll* a floor length, beige, lined cord skirt, vintage fat face, half price at £1.99! I actually hadnt noticed the 1/2 price sale sign so had a nice surprise at the till! Hoping for some more bargains at the jumble sale tomorrow, a lot of things i saw in the chazza's today were rather highly priced.....but all for a good cause.
    November 2018 make £10/day - £21/£300
    November 2018 NSDs 1/15
    Emergency Fund /£1000

  • Got a BNWT Orla Kiely handbag from my local chazza today for........................£5.95.

I am so happy I could burst, I have wanted one for about 6 years and could never justify it.

It goes a treat with the lovely MOnsoon (sale bargain) trench my OH bought me at christmas.

    Woo Hoo:j:j
I am pleased to give hairdressing help or advice, but a thank you doesn't go a miss.

Did you have a hangover this morning? Go anywhere nice to drink the mojito?

They've opened all the storm drains here which doesn't bode well - never seen them do that in the 2 years I've been down here so they're obviously expecting something pretty bad to head our way - I hope the weather doesn't ruin your weekend Jesa ! Ohh and well done on the spare change find on the pier :money: :D.

I've had a bad tummy all day from our over indulging this week. We went to Browns two nights as they had a great deal on £29 for two courses for 2 and a bottle of wine. My head still hurts now. I'm back home now though, it just started raining again as we left. One of the reasonsI love Brighton is because it doesn't matter what the weather, there is always lots to do. I hope you don't get too much more rain.

I've found a jumble sale for tomorrow here and its usually a really good one so looking forward to it
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
