Hurrah ... car boot sales have re-started at Redcar Racecourse. The usual number of buyers were there but only half the number of sellers so it was v.v. busy. I got a Cotton Traders 3-in-1 jacket for £4 ... new with tags, but strangely there were a pair of gorgeous leather gloves in the pocket! Didnt find them until I tried it on at home. The gloves are way too small for me so they have gone in the charity bag. I also got a "kipling" type bag (I did look for the logo but there isnt one) from a seller whose shop went bust (lovely lady, fabby selection of bags).
  • Was lucky to meet a stallholder last week who sells levi jeans for a fiver Brand new with labels.
I picked up two pairs today but he promised he would have more next time he is there. He sells other brands too so i think he could not be bothered searching his storeroom JUST for levi.
TBH our car boot market is pretty poor at the moment,
    From September 2008 - Wepromiseto £133.19, Greasypalm £46.16, Quidco £519.78, Cashback Kings £74.54. Vouchers £31.00. myhpf £21.03
Topcashback £159.72 Matchbetting £24.70 MORTGAGE FREE END OF JULY 2015 (YIPPEE!)
    Bank Switching £640.00

This is surprising considering the website says it's open all year round. (Not that I'm still bitter about trekking all the way down there to find out that it's shut or anything :o )

Glad you managed to find some bargains, will have to give it another go next time I'm off work on a Sunday

For anyone accessible to London; St Joseph's Hospice are having their spring jumble on the 10th April (Mare Street, Hackney) ...

Also - the Car Boot I mentioned in Mile End a few posts back has now been cancelled :( ...seems like the car lott it was held on has been bought by property types, and is now being redeveloped... More over priced flats I assume!

Hope everyone had a good weekend & bagged some bargains! :)

Managed to get a LitterLocker for our cat today for £1.50 from our Cats Protection shop. I've been considering buying one off the internet for about £15-20 for a while so well chuffed with this! When I asked how much it was, the lady said 'Finally, someone who knows what it is!' :rotfl:

Is the kitty happy with her bargain, Claire? We bought a scratching post from the car boot a couple of years ago for 50p. The man selling it told us not to bother as his ungrateful beast hadn't even looked at it. Our three love it and fight to get at it first.

My favourite car boot sale kicks off tomorrow morning! :j I'm praying for a dry start.

I can't use it yet as I need to order the bag cartridges to put inside, but it's going to save me from using loads of nappy bags and putting them inside the normal bin and having to put up with the smell, so I'm happy! I'd love to find a big cat activity tree at a carboot, I'm always on the lookout for a Collection Only bargain in our area on eBay but haven't found one yet :( I'm not sure our ungrateful beast would be interested either judging by the amount of beds and toys and things I've bought for her which she never uses but it's worth a shot!

I love the pictures of your cats that you put on your blog by the way!
