Jesa, bit like me .......... found a jumble sale tomorrow morning but it's a good hour on the bus to get to (bus route goes round all the villages which is what takes the time - church hall is only a 10 min drive away by car !!) Plus I don't think I'd be able to carry everything home afterwards - typical !
Couple of table top sales on saturday though that are more local so I'll probably pop along to those.
Had a good root in the charity shops this morning but nothing much caught my eye. I'm hoping it will be dry this weekend and I might pop along to the 'dealer' car boot - you never know !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
If I was superwoman there are 8 jumbles near me saturday - but mostly all starting at the same time. None for months then 8 at once. Not fair!
Isn't it annoyingNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -

Ooo where abouts are they? I think you were near my mums, south london? There's a car boot on every sunday which is on the way to the gym, but i went in last week and there was a total of 8, yes 8 cars!! but me being a shopaholic still managed to get hold of a motel style longline vest, black and which stripes and roses for 50p and a summery dress 50p.0 -
No sorry I'm not in London - down south but not over that side
I found the jumbles by searching my local city newspaper onlineNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
Sorry I didn't come back to this thread, yes the £1 Oxfam was in Middlesbrough, no idea if it's shut or not now though, sorry!
We went past a church on the bus today, and I saw a sign with a date on it out of the corner of my eye, whipped around to have a look what it was for, but we'd gone past by then, I'm mega excited in case it was a jumble sale! Will have to get a proper look tomorrow on my way to work, but it reminded me that I haven't been in this thread for ages!

Evening, gang!
Not a bad chazza shop haul for me today. I've put a few bits on the blog but in full:
TopShop ditsy blouse £2.99
TopShop suede pumps: £1.99
Vintage tooled leather handbag: £1.99
2 cut glass decanters (for stylish bathroom storage) 20p
1960's Tootal paisley dressing gown £1 (For a mod mate's birthday pressie)
1960's bri-nylon baby doll nightie £1.20
Vintage ladies' Wolsey pants (still in wrapper) 25p
Couple of jumbles listed for tomorrow but in places I've been to before and to be honest it's usually Primark, George at Asda and general tat.0 -
Hi all, have really enjoyed reading this thread, it's very inspiring!
Wish some of the charity shops some of you have been in were round here! Quite often they just contain cheap rubbish and nothing cheaper than £3...
I went to Salisbury yesterday, which has lots of charity shops, and came home with two jumpers for £3.50 and £3.80 - only from Tesco and Sainsbury but both in really good condition and just what I need. Dont mind spending that on knitwear as it can be quite expensive. I saw a Gucci belt for £3 but I was fairly sure it was a fake so didnt buy.... how on earth do you know if things are fake or not?November 2018 make £10/day - £21/£300

This happens with the local schools doing car boots in the summer. About 4 on the same day so 2 end up cancelling. You'd think they could co-ordinate between themselves.0 -
